We should be looking above us now not below, if we do the business we will be in the play offs. Newport have a hame in hand but can only get within 3. We have 3 games in hand over Lewes behind us.

I am backing us to go on a run now and slam the door in their faces below.

Im pretty confident now, last nights result was massive, Well done boys now go and get another win the weekend. THEN lets win the kent Senior cup this year for quite a few reasons!

Couldn't agree more JGFC. Although it may only be one win in the last three two draws and a win against those teams is a good set of results. As you say, we need to start getting wins under out belt which will continue on Saturday...would be nice to see some more of the games like we had earlier in the season, scoring 4 or 5...

It's great to see that we're still in the promotion hunt. I agree about the Kent Senior cup. It may not be a high profile tournament, but silverware is silverware. It would be great to win something in memory of Graham.

Sorry but STUFF the KSC

Put the weakest team out or let the kids have a kick about and lets concentrate on the real football

The sooner we are out of that cup the better

I wasn't suggesting for one moment that the KSC is a decent tournament.
I don't think we should play our full team, or even close too a full team. And I certainly see the league as being our main priority.

However I think we should put our best kids and fringe players into the KSC and use it as a chance to give them experience of playing at PVR. I only think it would be good to win the cup if we don't sacrifice more important results.

Game is not at PVR but Crayford. I hope that we are told what sort of team we are putting out and that the admision price reflects the team. A number of us were not best pleased to pay out full wack last year and see us thrashed by Bromley.

Mark,
I find your use of the phrase 'let the kids have a kick about and lets concentrate on the real football' somewhat disrespectful.  Remember it was a team made up of fringe players and U18's who got us through against Cray Wanderers the first round of the competition when Barrie made a point of coming into the dressing room to congratulate them.  Additionally they have done all that was asked of them when they represented the Club in the Tooting and Dartford games.

I know that Ade has been pleased with their performances and whilst in my opinion they are not ready to move into the first team (though I'm sure a couple could do a job from the bench), if we had a reserve side several of them would be capable of holding their own in that side.

I have seen every one of their matches bar one friendly this season and they have developed significantly in that time and much of that has been due to Ade's involvement and their exposure in the County Cups.

As far as the KSC goes I have to agree that in terms of the first team it should not be a priority for Ade whose target has to be maintaining our place in the top 5.  I'm of the opinion that Ade is likely to call on a number of the U18's on Tuesday night though it will be asking a lot of them considering the experience of those in the Maidstone side (which could include defence including former Wing Lee Shearer and Ryan Royston who impressed me when he played for Thamesmead against E&B recently and also scores goals) and the fact that they are in many people's eyes the Champions elect of the Ryman South.  One thing you can be sure of though is that if selected and despite having played comparatively little football since Christmas they will do their utmost to get us through to the next round.
