Season Review (ish)

Oh well, another season gone; just thought i would share a few ideas with everyone.

Best burgers = Folkstone (the belly buster burger van) Burger heaven, and nice people serving as well

Worst burger = Gravesend. Tasted like cardboard and i got the feeling that they were doing me a favour for serving me.

Best ground visited = Bedford. Nice and compact but not cramped.  Covered on all sides and a fantastic clubhouse.

Worst ground = Hornchurch.  Couldn't stand behind the goals as there was the running track in the way.

Best performance = the destruction of Braintree at home, pity we couldn't repeat it away.  Honestly thought we could do it this year after that.

Worst performance = Cleavedon (FAC) - we were truely diabolical.  Without doubt the worse performance i have ever seen by the wings; Thurrock at home in the league; the other games at Darts & Gravesend, god we were awful.

Highlight of the season = our away support.  Considoring that our average home attendance is around 600, we take about 1/6 of that away, and even more at Histon.  The other teams bank managers must wish they could have us vist every week.  Just wish we sung at home like we do away.

Low point of the season = sad and untimely death of Graham Hobbins.

This is not aimed as a pro or anti club article, just my thoughts for a great, though ultimately disappointing season.  please feel free to add your own comments.
