"The worst thing you can do is make a committment and not meet it and I understand that." Barrie Hobbins 14 August 2010
I was at the game today. I don't think we've actually played that badly in the previous games I've seen this season, but today was pretty awful. Only two players seemed to turn up for the second half; the rest lacked any fight.
I think anyone would struggle to take JGFC to task on his last comment: that we are in relegation battle. On today's evidence, against the bottom side, we are right in the thick of it.
Absolutley shocking today. Without doubt the worst performance of the season. It was n't just the result- we were completley outplayed.
F.a cup draw on monday. I just hope we get a good draw because this league campaign could seem like a long one. Two more performances like that and i'll be calling for the manager to go. Kevill not in the squad again today! He was one of our better players earlier in the season.
I WANT SMITH (to go) OUT (and sign some quality!!)

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh When the Wingssssss
We were completely clueless 2nd half, seemed to be playing Omari out on the left, which is where Keds was 2nd half of last season when he was ineffective. We need to move him into the middle where he can run at the defence. Muto promises a lot and is an exciting player to watch from what I have seen going forward but he does not track and leaves Leon exposed down the flank. Maybe he is worth a start rather than bringing him on as sub late in the game
We desperatly need somone to partner Omari on a permanent basis, he will score a lot of goals if he can get the right support. You cannot expect the bloke to continue switching partners, although recent circumsatnces have gone against us. An attcaking winger is needed preferably two to provide service into the box, we looked so much better when we played Mutu and Kevin James providing the service.
Why did H&Y play in our reserve kit today?
I absolutely agree we stand no chance this season and need to act quickly to stop the rot
Neil for whatever reason decided to pull himself off at half time, this proabably describes our 2nd half performance. I will say no more
H&Y dominated first half and believe it or not Coleman & Blackman looked our best players. The back 4 was awful today as was the keeper, Maxwell and chippy gave us nowt and Smith went off but contributed nowt. Strike force looked good. I have said it before that an inexperienced manager needs a right hand man with EXPERIENCE the pair together look clueless and devoid of ideas when we are leading its fine but when it goes against they dont know what to do or how to! Still think that we only need to look at the midfield and one other striker, of the midfield on show today i would keep chippy and bin the rest and smith just manage with someone with a bit of coaching experience.
OR SACK SMITH SACK NEATHERCOTT SACK THE HOBBINS SACK THE WSU SACK JGFC SACK JAMES.U SACK GROUNDSMAN SACK STEWARDS SACK BOB CROW SACK ANT & DEC SACK FOOT & MOUTH SACK SPUD
and by the way i have sacked all sense after today.
P.S i didnt boo today as i was still shocked after that performance and have decided not to go eastbourne tuesday after attending every game so far this season due to the awful response from a team where it seems only 2or3 give a toss about our club, ****ING STAND UP AND BE COUNTED OR **** OFF.
On yesterday's performance I'd say we need 8 or 9 new players. Moore and Coleman are the only two who looked worthy of their places. None of the rest would have got in last years side.
Hayes and Yeading are a poor side with the exception of Perkins and one or two others and will probably struggle along with us and Thurrock. If we can't beat teams like that then we are in deep deep trouble.
I just watched the video of the match and was really surprised when only 3 players congratulated Omari on his goal. Considering it was a cracking goal and gave us the lead at the time I would have thought a bit more enthusiasm would have been in order. Perhaps the players need to get to know each other a bit more. A bit of bonding seems to be needed.
After watching yesterdays game and what can only be described as a dreadfull performance, iam really concerned that we are going back to the dark days of Paul Parker. We seem to have started borrowing players from league clubs, which was a common practice a couple of seasons backunder Paul.It didnt work then and i dont think it will now. On reflection of yesterday i think we need to totally rebuild a midfield that is not working. Come on Smudger sign some players that are here for the season and really want to play for the club ,before its too late.

Hes having to sign players as he either hasnt got any signed or the ones he has arent good enough. Agreed we dont want loans players we want our own team. I would like to think Barrie is scouring around to try and poach a manager from somewhere who is good enough, experienced and has contacts should Neil just stick us deeper in the mire.
Fair play to neil who has said he accepts full responsibility and that what is being served up from his players is not acceptable. At least he is holding his hands up and knows he has to sort it. So while he is here its in his own hands.

I more than anyone want's Neil to do well but it's not looking good, I fear he will be sacked soon. Coleman will be picked up by a better club, and i would'nt blame him , he seems the only one worth a place in the side ( although Moore and chippy have done well).
Why wasn't Keevill playing today? and why was Neil in the line up again? As for the game, I would like to say that we were crap, but we weren't that good. Coleman and Blackman our best players? Come on Spud, Coleman yes, but Blackman couldn't pass the tea around, let alone the ball..........and as for trying to head the thing, well, no way Pedro. Both Neil and Stuart were shouting their lungs out at Muku to stay far right and up front, so what did he do? anything that he pleases allegedly. For sure he had some great touches, but they were few and far between and by the look on his face in the dugout at full time, it was like a slapped a**e. The rest of the squad were mediocre and we were beaten by a crap team at the foot of the table. Neil wanted goals and commitment from the players, but he got neither. We need to get our act together and fast, otherwise we will become a lower mid table team going nowhere.
