Minus the first half and the first 12 seconds of the second when they missed a pen Wings battled and played quite well against a strong side. I think it is balantly obvious that this seaosn we just havent got the quality in the side. So as a club do we accept this and battle on aim for mid table medicore and try for a cup run or do we sack the mannger now and let someone else have a go a try to sneak a play off place at best?
The biggest worry though for me was there was just 15 Wings fans tonight with the usual hardcore all mising now maybe that is because of other commitments, but it just seems ironic for so many people not to attend was this a message to the management team that enough is enough??
To end on a high note though play like we did second half and we could I say could sneak the points against Eastleigh
People wasnt there because it is crazy that we get eastbourne on a tuesday night every season and at the moment our side dont deserve me paying out over £40 to go watch
I had hoped to go.But late on things changed and making the trip would have been loads of grief, which I wasn't prepared to give myself. I know all teams arrangements have to be taken into account, but giving us Eastbourne as a midweek is a joke. We had Lewes on a Friday, which may have been a club decision not the league. But get Thurrock away on Bank Holiday monday?????????? It also looks like we only have one home midweek game at present, with Braintree coming to us on the 23 October. Seeing as I can't see us progressing very far in any of the cups,The lecky bill should be pretty cheap.

I normally sit and keep my self to myself, but I was so embarraced with the way we played in the first half, I couldn't listen to the bloke sitting next to me anymore so stood behind the goal.
The eastbourne chav's who were just finding their first pube and the 12 year old girls on lucazade max bolstered our support though.
I was behind the goal at Eastbourne, first half we didnt turn up really and we were lucky to get 0 but i really enjoyed the 2nd half, i think the penalty save spurred the lads on and there was a bit of fight and as long as there a bit of fight in the team i wont feel as bad when we're losing, but when the team don't look as though there trying/bothered i think that is what gets to the fans the most. I've seen better, i've seen worse but we definatly need a few players in now to bolster the ranks for a long, hard season.
There was also a real sense of disapointment amongst some of the players at the end- Tony Sinclair I particularly noticed - nice to know that some, at least, care.
