The FA Cup second qualifying round tie between Erith Town and Heybridge Swifts will now be played on Sunday September 30th., at the ground of Welling United FC, kick off 2.00 pm. This is due to the unavailability of Erith's stadium due to a previously arranged athletics meeting over that weekend. Heybridge did offer the use of their facilities free of charge on the Saturday afternoon but to no avail and the FA have now approved this change of date and venue. The F.A. have said that they believe Erith Town have done all they can to get the game played on the 29th and feel it is only reasonable that the clubs play the game on the Sunday.
Doubt it mate, Favour and maybe some expenses for staff and cleaning of the ground after. A team like Erith arent gonna be able to afford £1000 to hire the ground when the crowd will be 100.
