I'm just wondering how much the club is actually worth?
I reckon the 50-year lease on the ground is the biggest asset. The Welling stand has been built from a few packets of Swan Vestas and is in danger every fireworks night. The playing staff (contracts) are worth jack-all and the rest of the ground (the most modern part) is E.B & Q's.
It all boils down to how much Barrie wants to retire and how much Barry wants to start up his sports shop.
I reckon we ought to start a Welling Wall to take over the club.
Club worth over £700,000 i reckon Gaz. 2 leagues from Football league and 50 year lease, Ok the new owner would sack everyone and start from scratch but the club must be worth serious money even in the state it is in.

£700K ??? You must be having a giraffe Tom. I reckon £70K is over-priced. The 50 year lease is negotiable as it's actually owned by Bexley Borough Council. The 'real value' is purely based on Barrie's retirement fund and Barry's wishlist on what ever his dream is. £700K would buy you a Champ div 1 team, not a Blue Square Conf South outfit, Perhaps we ought to negotiate with the chairman!! I reckon £50 should do the trick, as long as he does not have to buy any raffle tickets going forward :)
I would love to win the Lotto and buy the club..........then you would see some changes. I would make Mark X director of fresh fruit and veg. Bruno would be Commercial Manager ( diplomatic post ) Anon people would be still be Anon............waiting in Danson Park to retrieve stray footballs. Moo would be our calender girl.
