The boys done good and we deserved to win the game at least 3 - 1.
We were robbed by the post, the crossbar and some diabolical refereeing / linesmans decisions. I hope that at the next home match we can turn the floodlights on, then maybe the officials could see the same game that we were watching. The lino nearest the old stand in the first half had  ' away team sprung action arm itis'  Everytime the Havant players shouted 'offside' his little flag arm sprung up.........best wait 'til we kick off next time Lino biggrin
As for the game, it was good to watch. The team played really well, lots of passing, talking to each other, commitment and above all else, the desire to go forward and try to win the game.

In my opinion, three players stood out for us :

Chris Moore   :  The passion shone through. He wanted to win every ball that came his way..........with the awesome cry of ' Mooros !!!!!! '  But Chris, be careful when you push players over and confronting the lino in his face.......we need you on the park for 90 minutes every game mate smile

Ross Montague ( who I understand is leaving us )   Tireless front runner, great ball control, causes the defence all sorts of problems and one heck of a goal scorer. I wish you well in the future Ross.

My man of the match............Robbie Ryan.   His professional skills shone through. Watch how he copes with a winger coming at him. He doesn't faff about if the winger tries to jiggle his way passed..........he stands upright, not twisting about, watches the ball and not the man. His tackling was first class and vision for the game outstanding. ( younger players please take note ) I think that he is worth a point everytime he steps on the park.
Come on you Wings, let's have more games like this and we'll be contenders for the playoffs.

Totally Agree with you Cynical.

I was sitting right next to the lino in the 1st half and i am sure he suffers from a twich in his right arm.

Agree that Robbie is a class act and a good signing for us!

Also thought Mooro was goner do the lino in the 2nd half agree that he must keep his cool!

Lets hope we get the fight result come Tuesday evening.

Come on the Wings!!

The boys played very well, I can see that Smudge is learning the trade but the last couple of weeks he has shown that he is capable. Smith has been under alot of pressure after the start we had and a a few were comapring him to Parker, but the difference for me between the two is that you can see potential in Neil Smith and his team where as PP was dreadful and you could never see him turning it around. I Dont think were be good enough for play offs this year but we will not have to worry about relegation so a mid table finish a trophy or setana shield run would be good now maybe even KSC!biggrin
