Steve - you must watch a different game to me - reason we conceded two on Tuesday was the inability of the midfield, attack to hold up the ball and relieve the pressure on the defence. We were, as a result, pegged back in our half for long periods. We are not concedeing loads of goals but as Spitey says we have trouble scoring them. I would be happpy to concede one goal a game if I had any confidence that the attack could score a couple.
Our strength in the Ade's reign was our defence and keeper and their ability to produce clean sheets (though they also had nightmare games where they conceded last season where they let in 3 or 4.)
We also had strikers who got the necessary service, knew where the net was and were capable of finding it.
First 13 League games 2006/7 Goals scored 28 Goals conceded 15 Clean sheets 5 2007/8 Goals scored 19 Goals conceded 13 Clean sheets 2

Blimey Bruno, where do you get all this info from? Steve M..........have to disagree on some points. I think that young Adam Cottrell for the past couple of games has played really well. Agreed that he has lead in his boots, cant jump and not too good with his head, but solid enough. Mooro........slow yes, but solid and wants to win every thing in the air. ( must admit though, on Tuesday he did miss a few ) Tony Sinclair is getting better with every game that I have seen him play.He still has lots to learn, but I wouldn't say that he is useless in possession and cant defend. He may not be in the same class as Jamie Day just yet, but his vision and goal scoring ability is a plus for us. Robbie has got to be one of our best signings. Excellent, no nonsense defender who always gives 100% and helps position some of our wayward midfield players. We need a good striker that is going to give us 20 goals + per season. Omari is a good player and needs someone up front with him. I thought that Ross Montague filled that role perfectly..........unfortunately, he has finished his loan spell with us. Hopefully, young Mr Pugh can progress and get some goals. I agree with Chelwing that our midfield needs sorting. However much Neil thinks that he still has the legs ( his passion is not in question ) I still feel that with Ellis, Sam etc on the bench, he should make way and manage the team.
