Great comment tonight.... about Kedwell... who has now played 18 matches without scoring
"I feel he just needs a goal " LOL! Really? Hes making Sir Lloyd look prolific. Well done Paul for that incisive commentary. Also "yeah i know Jamie well, i signed him when i was manager of "welin" from Dover Affletic he can hurt you if you give him time on the ball. So could Douglas Bader if you gave him enough space.

Firstly Paul - talk, reflect and judge by your own standards mate
I think that's a bit unfair. Yes he was a poor manager for us but he's still entitled to an opinion regardless of his own standards.
Just think how quiet this messageboard would be if we couldn't critise anyone above our own achievements - and are any of us that good a footballer or manager?
I think Gary is saying that none of us are good enough to be managers or players but that doens't stop us critising, moaning and questioning all their decisions. And quite rightly too. How boring would it be if we didn't. Most of us couldn't ref a game either but we still give the officials stick all game long.

Disagree with that mate. I would guess a few of us have reffed pub games or kids games etc etc. Its not that hard. Dont forget they have had a load of training to be refs.

True - but despite the abuse we give them they are better then us. I watch kids football every week-end as my son plays. Even if we get a proper ref as opposed to a dad - the standard can be shocking (and don't get me started on the bias).
Good shout Chelwing............the refs are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. Even with all of the training, they are still ' human ' and make mistakes. It seems a shame that the ones that make the most mistakes end up refereeing our games
I'm not going on a major attack so no need to reply with anything abusive becuase i'm not being abusive but:
Dont talk about the refereeing system when you don't know it. Alot of what they have to etc... is bull**** beyond belife its not all about refereeing games. And the simple fact is no-one writting in this thread could referee a game at that level.
As the original postee of this thread, what I was really getting at, but didn't articulate too well was that:
It would be more interesting to hear his viewpoint from his experience of being a manager under pressure, taking charge of that crunch game that might be your last, and being a player at the highest level going into a game like that.
It just angers me that he talks and writes as if he has all the answers (like all of us do down the pub or how we react to refs/lino's at the game), but for paid expertise - I expect more than these rubbish pieces.
