I was really hoping to come home from work and see that Smith had resigned/or got the chop. I dont mean any disrespect to Smith im sure he is a top bloke but managerially he is useless. That crap I have just read about being a proud a man and that he has scarified alot to be Welling manager, I dont believe him, I want to believe him but we have heard so much crap from him he has made it impossible to do just that. I feel that he has lost the dressing room and I only hope that Barrie will wake up and realise that another relegation to the Ryman (which is where Smith is taking us) would be the end for Welling United FC. Although the club itself really needs to look for new investment/owners if it wants to ever think of progressing higher than we currently are.
No such luck at the moment. Let's hope that the Hobbins decide to go too............we need to have fresh faces in the place to go forward. After all, if we get relegated, the club will surely lose out financially. I want to see the club progress and in my opinion, that will only happen if changes are made.
In my opinion if Welling United do get relegated to the Ryman, that is where we will stay or below forever. I know some people will disagree but it is now showing more and more how much Grahame Hobbins is missed. He was the man who made the decisions, good and bad. There is now no feeling that anyone is in charge or able to pull the club out of the mild depression its in, on the field or off it. If we lose again on Saturday then surely Neil Smith will go. Neverplay Nethercott (what a piss taker he is ) should have gone ages ago. This would have freed up funds to bring in new face or two
They wouldnt care as they would still get their wages if they played in the kent league.
One poor decision after another, Have you heard our Chairman Paul Websdale in the press? Have you heard our General Manager Barry Hobbins in the press? Have you even heard our Secretary Barrie Hobbins in the press. Its all done with smoke and mirrors, None of them probably exist. Davis Icke was correct.
We are just run horrendously amatuerish and they dont have the skills, knowledge, ambition or balls to do the right things.

Whenever we've been at that level it's been Southern League. The last time we were at that level it was Doc Martin's which was Southern. Our roots are there.
Have to include lower crowds meaning not more for the owners. I hold on to the fact that they will want to sell the club in the future and in order to get a good price it will need to be doing well. In the Ryman or Southern - then less for them.
I don't think we get a choice anymore since the leagues were restructured. Given our location we would go into the Ryman, let's hope it doesn't happen!
Just think JgFc......if we are unfortunate to go down into the Ryman, you could do another commentry from AFC Hornchurch...........who would you support then? Then again, just look at some of the other sides.....seaside towns like Margate, Ramsgate, Folkstone & Hastings - lot's of freah air for the Hobbins to clear their minds Not forgettting of course our Nemesis..........Wealdstone. Something to look forward too eh ?
No question i would support welling, i paid for the equipment and server etc to do radio wings, the fact we dont have live commentary should be addressed to the club, they banned it. by putting up posters threatening eviction.
Still we got 2 and ahalf live games didnt we :)

It's just a shame that the Hobbins can't see sense and allow the transmission to go ahead. What skin is it off their noses? The equipment would be in place and set up by you at no charge to them. As you have broadcast from there before, I assume all the legallities of broadcasting have been taken care of. I would have thought that the Kudos of having live coverage of a match for supporters near or far that can't make the game, would outway any personal grudges the Hobbins might hold.
The only licence POSSIBLY needed is one from the league, however no other non league leagues charge. And when i asked Moules , after a weeks delay they sent me the FM licence that they get the BBC to pay and wanted £250 lol!! But that was just more to try their arm.
I have legal licences to broadcast music too which no one else has and i have the equipment to do fone ins which i havent seen dover , margate or wimbledon do either.
So yeah its all kosher, top quality sound and was all paid for. Quite a few listened so you will have to ask them if it was any good, for my money its better than anything been done at this level and below and i would be prepared to say theres probably not more than one or two any better right at the top of the game.
the sound quality slaughters bbc streams for example. As ive said before if they go then the radio will be discussed with the new owners.
IS ANYONE UP FOR A FONE IN AND MUSIC SHOW in a few days discussing the club? No swearing no abuse just people freely discussing the situation in a fone in with some chart music. maybe the club will listen or even call in... lol.
