This is like having a very sick old dog. You know eventually it will have to be put down. Sometimes in kinder to put it out of its agony rather than let it lumber on.

Totally agree BKK but the bottom line is that its the Hobbins call. If they want to flirt with the Ryman than that's their prerogatve but attendances are showing that's not what the fans want.

Good question Bruno...........maybe the mushroom factor - keep 'em in the dark and s**t all over them doh
How much time is ' more time ' - until we get into a lower league?
Then what - blame the Manager and then sack him?
The Hobbins employed Neil and they have every right to do as they see fit, but it has since been proven that we are now a struggling side. We can't beat lower opposition and it appears that there may be player unrest.  To perform at any level, you need stability..........that is something sadly lacking at the club.

We will get there eventually as to who is at fault for decades of ****E

Who hires , who fires, who makes decisions, who is alledgedly driving the business commercially.

ho hum makes you want to cry.

Ive not even read the article, as it will make me scream. If barrie could find ONE positive in neils management hes a better man than me gunghadin.

BUT BUT BUT

if we do get worse and worse in the SHIITE , think who appointed smith and who gave him more time.

Thats all gents no need for me to say any more.

Lets hope barrie knows we have no caretaker so hes getting a manager sorted while "appearing" to give Neil more time. He certainly should be looking at managers. Or if we give him more time then say ah we will appoint a new manager soon we could end up with another manager that could manage a kids team. OR we could get a manager that does manage a kids team lol! IF we can beat fishers wages.

C'mon, give the Hobbins and Neil a break. If you actually read that report, it's pretty clear to me that both sides realise that the situation is serious and that decisions need to be made soon.  Just don't expect them to listen to armchair lawyers and self proclaimed business gurus though. And I don't mean that nastily - fans opinions count, but the club need to take decisions in the best interests of the club and not by Forum poll or whatever.
Unless there's some clear confidence or ability issue then my opinion is that it's too early to change things yet - although unless results improve I suspect Xmas will be the decision point.
In anycase, you need a plan B - and that may not be that easy!

Mate its the clubs decisions that put us in the shiite to be fair.

Perhaps they need to start making the right ones. Of course its his club and he does what he wants as he always does. Doesnt make how they are run correct though does it.

By giving neil more time hes taking an almighty gamble. Had he said ive increased the budget by 20% etc etc to give neil more of a chance fair play, but the statement made was weak as pi ss and will just see us in more crap. IN MY OPINION, its a poor decision yet another one in giving neil more time.

WHERE are the positives in neils management please?

We should easily get a good result on Saturday, if not, we will definitely up the proverbial creek without a paddle.
No result means no confidence...........the ball is in Neils and the teams hands to perform well and no excuses.

We are just above relegation at the lowest level we have played in for over 20 years. We are out the cups worth anything and lose or fail to beat all the teams around us.

beating another crap team will not make people think neil has sorted it. After all we have to play the better sides.

Neil will only get more breathing space if sustained runs are made in the league and if we get a striker who scores REGULARLY and is up to this standard.

We have scored two or more goals in the league less than a handful of times. Address that and results may come.

If Neil gets us into 12th or 13th by End of January he has a chance. But if he does stave off the sack he better realise that that is still not acceptable.

He needs to show he can get a SQUAD good enough to compete and at the moment he is falling WOEFULLY SHORT OF THAT.

Notwithstanding the squad is pessibly not up to it. We have failed to kick on after a rare win and many times neil has said we will do this and i will demand and theyve just put  in another stinker. We need to win a few and stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

PLUS We need to improve hugely in personnell.... I would be astonished if more than 2 or 3 of these are at Welling next year. I hope Neil believes that too...

chelwing, Totally agree and edited accordingly when I saw it.

RG, an ill informed post all round
1. description of JgFc totally inaccurate and potentially libelous
2. regular readers will know why JgFc does not attend matches. Agree or not with his stance as you will but that does not preclude him from having opionions based on match reports, information from those who did attend, and in his case an extensive knowledge of players and non league football in general.
3. JgFc makes many positive posts as well those regarded by many as negative.
4. there have been several references to his losses on the forum.

As far as your opinion of JgFc goes he seems to make enough from gambling to make the term mug punter somewhat inaccurate.

Possibly not Anonymous, but that still doesn't stop him having the right to an opinion, whether you, I or anyone else agrees, or disagrees with his comments.
That doesn't give the right to the anonymous poster to make possible libelous statements about him.   I and others, have often disagreed with some of his comments, but, like yourself and others, we are all entitled to voice our opinions in a democratic way.
It sounds like the Green Eyed Yellow Monster has posted on here..........

Que?

The OED definition of opinion is "belief based on grounds short of proof, view held as probable, what one thinks about something" which would seem to fit with what JgFc posts ergo he has opinions.

I've never been to any meetings about the EEC and never met any politicians involved in negotiations but I have an opinion based upon what I have read and heard. Indeed many years ago I and the rest of the country's electorate were asked to vote in a referendum on entry to the EEC, something which it was only possible to do based upon opinions.

I have not been been attacked in the street in recent years but I have an opinion on the matter.

I could go on but the essential element is that to have an opinion you don't have to have been involved personally. We all have opinions on matters where we have had no direct involvement and those opinions have been arrived at having considered the information available to us at the time that they are expressed.

I agree with most of what you say Bruno , anyone can have an opinion
on anything , however in my opinion an uninformed opinion based on
heresay and others views is worth very little . How many times have you
watched a match then read a match report that seemingly comes from a
completely different match ? My main point about JGFC was that if he
was that bothered about Welling ( and most of his rants suggest he is )
then go to some games and form his own more accurate views, rather
than jumping on the nearest bandwagon passing at the time ,
because until then his thoughts cant be taken seriously in any context.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but doesnt mean they carry any
credibility, my granny could pass comment on Wellings season so far
would that have any credence ? Probably not ! Being attacked in the
street is hardly comparable as I fail to believe anyone would have a
positive opinion on this . As for the EEC referendum I think this most
definitely highlights my point that it is very important to form your own
informed opinion , as I imagine the government would have put all the
positive spin they could on joining the EEC and avoid at all costs any
negative publicity on the matter , in the hope that the uninformed
public would vote in a positive way when they knew very little of the
facts.   It is important to cut the wheat (informed opinions) from the
chaff (uninformed- 2nd hand views) .        By the way I posted
the original rant about JGFC's absence from matches but his willingness
to comment on all on sundry, but I am not the anonymous poster who
carried out a personal attack on him, that went a bit far in my
          OPINION.

Have to agree with you here JGFC, he was out of order . Sorry about my typing qualities on last post , hangover is kicking in ! Will you be taking the 4-6 about Welling on saturday , I wont . Is it right Hatton is in to 5-4 now ? If so that'll make Mayweather 4-7 wont it , now thats tempting me .

SJ,
Informed/uninformed opinion develops the debate a stage further. Is the opinion of someone who was at a match but looking through rose coloured spectacles any more valid than that of someone who wasn't but has formed an opinion based on among other things views in the press and fora?

Whilst I may not have chosen the best examples in my post on reflection they actually seem to fit well in my opinion. There has been a fair amount of positive spin applied by some fans but the league table doesn't lie and you don't have to attend a match to form the opinion that Welling are having one of their worst ever seasons.

In my opinion the bottom line is that fora are all about people being allowed to express their opinion which by the very nature of things will vary as to the degree to how well informed it is. They provide an arena in which differing opinions can be debated by posters from the standpoint of the basis upon which their opinion has been formed. Regretably, in practice all too frequently the debate is clouded by bringing personalities into the debate.

Mate being basically called a Paedo and having had people view the post before Bruno caught the post and edited it is not very nice, without the other 3 or 4 points that the gentleman made.

I really dont see why if you disagree (being anyone) with a post why a person has to be anonymous then post vile statements as "RG" did.

I wont be lining anyones pockets mate, doesnt cost me a bean shes worked for him for 20 years. It was a disgusting post.

If i did nothing then they are free to continue. I am not having what he posted about me, no way. At least doing this i can find out who he is.
