From match report Dagenham & Redbridge v Wrexham
Saturday 08 December 2007
Nevertheless it was a good first half performance with excellent displays from both Patterson and Green.
D&R: 1. Tony Roberts, 2. Magnus Okuonghae, 3. Sam Sloma, 5. Jon Boardman, 6. Shane Huke, 8. Glen Southam, 9. Jon Nurse (16. Jamie Taylor 90 mins), 14. Paul Benson, 15. Anwar Uddin - capt, 21. Dominc Green (18. Ben Strevens 74 mins), 22. Marlon Patterson. Subs not used: 30. Ed Thompson (GK), 24. Anthony Cook, 25. Solomon Taiwo.
It could of course be another Marlon Patterson but how likely is that?
It could be that Marlon was a loan signing but that was never stated by the Club.
It could be that Marlon is back on trial at D&R and if he is I wish him all the best and he certainly did himself no harm in the match against Wrexham.
Whatever the position may be its certainly been kept quiet but it explains his absence from the team sheet on Saturday.

"Welling United and Boss Neil Smith have today made a number of new signings. The Wings will have three new faces in time for tomorrows game against Eastleigh but the total will be extended to four after the final whistle.
Marlon Patterson, a 24 year-old midfielder, who had been with Dagenham and Redbridge has signed"
Certainly seems to indicate that he was one of ours - nothing about a loan.
Just got the extra which says that Marlon was recalled by D&R but could return.
Seems an even more unsatisfactory situation than loanee for Neil. Quite apart from the uncertainty as to whether he will be available or not Marlon has played 6 games in 22 days and at one stage had played 4 games in 12 days.

The situation with this player is farcical and however commonplace it is in football it's so indicative of the sorry state the team finds itself in at the moment.
On a separate note I think Ellis Remy would be a reasonable signing bearing in mind our predicament. Whatever his current stats he might relish another chance at a higher level. Looked a handful for Hastings a few years back!
Spitey do you not concede we should be looking at better strikers and we should be able to sign them!! If we are going to drop down leagues to get them at least get prolific scorers who MAY get 15 in this league
