1. Yesterdays attendance was 407-a worrying trend has started, people are voting with their feet. Charlton were away yesterday and you cant tell me e redblooded male supporter would rather go Christmas shopping on a Saterday afternoon.
2. Who is Joe Howe?-thought he had a good start yesterday, at least he tracks back and looks a good prospect
3. Why was the goal keeper allowed to pick the ball up from a throw in. Neither the referee or his 12 year old assistant spotted this incident.
Alan, your right I thought Lloyd had a good game yesterday. He has plenty of committment and no one can criticise his effort. Its the ability thats lacking on occassions.
I looked at Neil as the goal went in, flat out on his back if he had stayed there a bit longer Piggie could have covered him with the ground sheet. I still think he will be in charge until the boxing day game at least
Well on the whole you have to say it was better than the Sutton game. There`s a saying in football about some managers being lucky managers. Well Neil Smith aint one of those is he FFS. His new striker is given the chance to score on his debut from the spot. He steps up hits it well with power and the goalkeeper makes a great save. His other striker cant score from 2 yards twice. It tells me his luck is poxed.

I thought exactly that when their keeper picked the ball up but thought maybe I'd missed something . Have to agree Blackman had a good game especially playing out of position in centre midfield , although I dont agree he lacks ability I think if everyone showed the commitment he did yesterday we'd be in a better position, at times like these it takes hard work and effort to pull us out of the **** ! Got to hope the penalty miss wont affect Remy's confidence too much , however the Folkestone fans dont seem overly bothered he has gone .
No I didnt notice one of our own holding the line. Fair play to the guy, he did join in with the jollly wit and repartie coming from the terraces. Its nice to know that we have the ability amongst the crowd to cover such a situation.
I thought Blackman had a good game ???????????????
Now I realise he has come in for a lot of stick over the last few months (some of it unjustified) but the bloke did nothing at the weekend. He might have run around a lot but he never touched the ball and, therefore, never influenced the game at all.
Not sure what his best position is/was but he has been an abject failure this season. He talks a very good game especially to the officials. If he played half as well as he talked he would be in Capello's squad never mind ours..................
Joe Howe (born in Sidcup, England) is an English footballer, recently released by Northampton Town. He joined from MK Dons in the summer of 2007 after impressing on trial.[1] He also previously played for Ebbsfleet. He can play anywhere across the midfield as well as at full-back.[2] In August 2007, Cobblers manager Stuart Gray took the shock decision of releasing him just weeks after signing him, saying new recruits meant Howe would struggle to make the bench.[3] A few weeks afterwards, Howe signed for Conference North side Kettering Town.[4]

I too thought he was one of our better players, so the majority of people who have posted their opinion of him on saturday think he had a decent game , so far you're the only one to suggest otherwise. As for abject failure , in my opinion you can add to that all of our other players , management and season as a whole !
I THOUGHT THAT JOE HOWE LOOKED GOOD AT TIMES BUT HE WAS LIGHTWEIGHT AND WAS EASILY DISPOSSESSED. AS WE ARE BATTLING AGAINST RELEGATION, WE IMMEDIATELY NEED A TOUGH BALLWINNER IN MIDFIELD "WITH LEGS" WHO CAN PASS STRAIGHT. OUR PASSING ON SATURDAY WAS VERY, VERY POOR. ALSO WE NEED A PROVEN STRIKER AT RYMAN LEAGUE LEVEL, AT LEAST, AND NOT A YOUNGSTER ON LOAN FOR ONE MONTH AND ANOTHER YOUNGSTER ON LOAN FOR THE NEXT MONTH. THERE IS NO CONTINUITY IF WE PERSIST WITH LOAN PLAYERS ESPECIALLY IN AN IMPORTANT POSITION SUCH AS A STRIKER. WE HAVE NOW GONE 5 LEAGUE GAMES WITHOUT A GOAL. GOALS WIN MATCHES!
Frankly i can believe people are letting Eillis Green off. Hes treated us like shiiiiiiite, walked away from us in pre season... came back when he wanted to .... then he plays on a sunday and gets suspended for 5 weeks.
HAVE A WORD WITH YOURSELFS.... ITS AMATUER . Any self respecting manager and club would have slung him out.
IMO its b*ll*x and i cant believe we have just swept it under the carpet and kept him.

JGFC - I think you are right in principle and I think he should be told to go. I also understand other people's attitiude. It comes out of desperation - he is more talented than many of the others we have in the squad (not saying much) and now we seem to have lost Marlon we are desperate. I think it is case of not wanting to shoot ourselves in the foot. If he goes - who do we have? Having said that principles are very important and I agree an example should be made.
No doubt if ellis was on contract then he would have been heavily fined or worse. as it is he has not broken any deal with the club (as much as we don't like it).
what i don't understand is that he really wanted to come back to the club - why didn't he sign a contract? i thought he was one player who would have signed terms till the end of the season.
we also can't do without him this season. i reckon if we had that position covered he wouldn't play again under smith.
Gary. The point is he has treated the club and fans like mugs. Contract or not he has acted terribly and should have been slung out.
Everyone seems to bee saying , oh we cant wait for ellis to be available. What is even more worrying is that i havent seen Neil go mad in any interviews about it. Just because we dont know what if any contract hes on (we dont!).... I am positive if we fined him 8 weeks wages then he couldnt do a thing and through his actions he is unavailable for 5 weeks. There are ways the club can deal with this, And if there arent then why the hell wasnt he slung out.
It just shows all the other players that they can do what they like.....

JgFc - I agree in principal everything that you say, but, as it stands, we need good players to play for us. What other option do we have? If we let him go, then we are knackered. Ellis is a good player and we need him. For sure he has f****d about, but we need results, otherwise, look out Folkstone...............
