Having beaten Bromley twice this year and Bromley beating Thurrock 8-1 on Saturday what are our chances?
If we fail to beat Thurrock then Neil really has to go. Walk or pushed it makes no difference. He has to go.
On a sad note, I was really sorry to hear of the death of Tommy Harmer on Christmas Day.
When my Dad took me to Tottenham in the 50's he was my favorite player.
In today's market he would have been right up there with the top earners and commanding a 7 figure fee. Instead, with the maximum wage set at £8 a week he ended up with nothing and had to resort to working as a messenger.
I hope today's players read about him and appreciate what a good life they have now. Most of them are not fit to tie his boots.
Smith wont resign, Hobbins wont sack him until we are neck deep in it (6 weeks?).
We could lose the next 6 games in my opinion. If/When we do act too late then i just pray that this time the club get the most qualified man for the job and not a newbie on pennies who will be so happy to have the gig he wont stand up to the owner. But we will be just the same if relegated, unable to compete in that league as we are now. We must be the only club that cut budgets when in the play offs and squeeze all the postponed games from november onwards into the last month of the season (last year)
Neil is probably reading this thinking "hes right". Adie is probably reading it thinking "hes right" . The fans are probably reading this thinking "hes right"
What can we do though all the time its such a closed shop and run like a sunday league team? I still chuckle over the season we won over 100k from the fa cup and trophy under Adie and the club cut the budget and said the 100k went on debts!!
