3-2 flattered us. They didn't play as well as they did on Boxing Day but were a class above us. They could have and should have scored more.

One point from a possible 9 over Xmas against sides in the botton half and wo of the games at home is dreadful. Sutton got 4 points.

It is clear to all that Smith should go but I wonder of the potential pay off to him - both as a manager and player on contract will put off the Hobbin's from sacking him.

It is reported on the Fisher forum that George Borg was at the game and the speculation is that he is in line for the Welling job. Heaven help us if the poster is right.

It appears we have merged, according to the official bluesq site

Havant and Welling 2-0 Bognor Regis Town

Havant and Welling cruised to a comfortable 2-0 home victory against Bognor Regis Town who are now placed perilously close to the drop-zone.

Alfie Potter found the back of the net in the 23rd minute, which was the highlight of the first half.

Referee G Smith awarded the hosts a penalty on the 61st minute mark and Rocky Baptiste made no mistake from the spot.

Surely Barrie wouldn't appoint him, not after the vandalism by George.

Could you imagine "Gorgeous George" with our fans (Who must be the best at this level of football if a little too accepting)

There would be rows everywhere. PS is Matt the Hatt using that famous word yet on the terraces??

Well I did wish him complete and utter obscurity and as we seem hell bent on going that way maybe he's going to hitch a ride....

Which would be someone giving me poetic justice!

Yeah, month to month rolling contract for Smith and Nethercott  so worst case scenario is a months dough . Although that still seems a very high price to pay for that useless c u n t  nethercott !!!

Personally I think we could do a lot worse than George Borg

Still chuckling about after the game at their place a year or so ago when confronting the stewards the chief steward threatened to throw us out

As that was what we were actually trying to do it made for an amusing moment

Stafford will remember that one
