Someone mentioned on another thread that apparently Smith made "sarcastic gestures" to the away support when leaving the field today. What happened exactly ??
I was pretty close when Smith was walking off. I am not a big fan of Smith but all I saw was a response to some Welling fans. The Welling fans were shouting their support and Smith just acknowledged them with a shrug. Under the circumstances it was an appropriate gesture - he did not ignore them and after the loss it would not have been appropriate to do any more.
