Howe should be replaced by Leon hopefully Saturday as he got skinned by the winger everytime against Weston and is clearly not up to it in this league. If we are to progress players of his calibre MUST be outed asap. He is a waste of space and Im sure Phil noted this Saturday.
I didn't to go to WSM on Saturday but I think Leon has been below par this season and dropping him could be the kick up the backside he needs. I think Andy Ford has a pretty good idea of how to man manage.
I also think Leon has been below par this season. Partly the team (midfield) and previous manager to blame but also doesn't look fit. He has lost pace and Ford mentioned the squad's fitness - hopefully this will soon be sorted out.
As for slating Howe, I didn't see him at Weston but it wouldn't surprise me if some of our under-peformers start to improve. New coach, new manager, new tactics and improved fitness will give them a chance. If not Ford won't mess about, he'll bin them. Howe, along with Carpenter and Ryan, should be walking this league.
We all know that the team had not been doing the business on the park and we didn't find ourselves where we are because of the performances of any one player.
Having sacked Neil Smith and appointed Andy Ford and Phil Handford we are now in the transition period and personally I believe that all of the players should be given every opportunity to prove themselves or otherwise to Andy and Phil who are charged with turning the season around.
After the nightmare of the Cambridge match we saw the introduction of 3 new players and had a very encouraging result at Weston where, though I wasn't there, by all accounts there was a much improved performance.
In these circumstances I would question the singling out any players beyond a post match comment on their performance. Andy and Phil will I am sure very quickly determine whether those in the squad have a future at PVR.

To be fair to Joe, im not sure that he is a full back! I think that he may have been put there due to lack of fitness of other players in that position aka Leon! I don't really care who plays where when we get 3 goals and a clean sheet away from home! All the players that played on Saturday are deserving of equal credit seeing as it is a team game! There is always someone ready with a pin waiting to burst whatever bubble there may be.
Harsh words "ANON", I was one of the few who were at Weston but must have been watching a different game. Granted, Joe certainly hasn't covered himself in glory when playing (out of position) on the left midfield/wing but on Saturday, when playing in his rightful position, had a solid, confidence building game.
Personal snipes, which anyone who knows me know i abhor, serve only to undermine players confidence and are down right divisive.
