Last reminder that the WSU have a meeting planned this Thursday in the upstairs bar at 7.30 pm. Andy Ford will be joining us, it is an excellent opportunity for us the supporters to help with Andy with his budget next year.
You never know we could help make a difference and maybe help Andy on his way to a successful season.
All, unfortunately I am unable to make the meeting Thursday but I recall reading Andy wanted an extra £20k investment this season. Well if you look at Chelmsford and Wimbledon being promoted we can count on approx 1500 additional fans coming through the PVR turnstiles next season. That amounts to approx £15k so with some additional money the club do not have to find such a huge sum as they originally thought. Please put this to Andy and see his reaction although I expect this fact to be directed more at Barry
The other point raised by someone else is player kit sponsorship which can bring additional income. I for one would be willing to sponsor a players kit and I am sure we can get more supporters interested.
Barrie will say that you cannot guarantee oppo bringing 500 plus or budget for it. He will also say why not raise the extra 20k anyway and give us a bit of a safety net.
Im not a massive supporter of WSU but i wont dismiss them out of hand as the Club are trying to improve things.
Cant be there tonight, but would have been to observe. Can someone POSSIBLY record it audio wise??? And perhaps we could upload this so people who werent there or dont want to can at least see where the WSU is singing from.
You can probably record it on a decent phone, dictaphone or laptop.
If you need somewhere to stream or host the big file let me know.
