Unreal most of not all of the places i went all shut. No real surprise when you consider things like Sky TV, Pirate Copies and the Internet have come in to place.
No one would go to the cinema regularly any more. (Or not enough people)

But in fact cinema attendance has been going up for years - record figures and all that. I love the new cinemas - Greenwich Odeon - lots of space - comfortable seats etc. Bit off topic now.
The last time I went was a few years back on a freezing cold windy rainy night at Bluewater. I saw some awful crap about a fat Greek's wedding. I took the wife and there were 4 other people in the place. I bet the heating bill wa more than they took at the box office.
I do remember going 8 times in a week once back when I was an unemployed layabout in my teens. And no, they weren't silent films.
