Fordy seems to see him as a utility man according to the new shopper article. But in my view he has to play midfield more often than not. He was outstanding there at the end of last season and chips in with the odd goal.
Couldnt agree more, but the problem is that Fordy couldnt be 100% sure we'd get him, signed other players, and now has too many central midfielders. Nice headache to have though.
Cobbs is without doubt a box-to-box centre-mid, something we havent seen many of at PVR in recent times.
Has to be for me too - without doubt the best central midfielder that was on show in the conf south last season (from Feb onwards when he was playing there). Im sure if Brighton had seen him playing in that position on a regular basis he'd have got that years contract.
If he does play centre midfield and performs as he did at the end of last season the football league will come calling again,Im sure of that. It could mean a nice transfer fee if that does happen. No doubt Fordy has promiced him that he wont stand in his way if a league club wants him.
