i loved what andy said..

"No one rates us no one likes us"

creating a siege mentality, remember fortress Welling from years gone by? Hopefully we are on the way to that again.

I rate Fordy massively, he wont take shyte from anyone and demands we do things right. He wants to win.

Let em hate us. haha they will hate us even more when we spank them off the park.

Well played today Weliing, certainly deserved the victory although very fortunate to score 4.

First goal came from an awful error from our captain at fullback leaving you through with 3 v 2, two neat square balls found your number 11 in acres of space to slot home.

Second was a great free kick, 11 again finding the far bottom corner on his left foot from around 25 yards with a firm shot.

Third, another free kick, 11 again, bent in low, should have been a routine take for our keeper who somehow left his legs wide open as he went down to collect and failed to grip the wet ball allowing it through.

The fourth, the best, free kick again from the corner of the box, with everyone preparing for the cross your man whipped it into the top far corner with plenty of loop and swerve, keeper left rooted to the spot.

Until the first goal you didn't look too special, but from then on coped easily with our attacks and looked very swift and effective on the break.

Anyroad, well played again and good luck for the season.

Thanks for the report mate an interesting read! Didn't expect that result if honest would have taken draw.

Took in your game today at bath.

You were good value for your win-even before the first goal you were the better side and remained the better side throughout.
frankly-good quality movement and passing.

If you look at the Dover match thread i provided you a bit of info on Martin-forgot to say he can also take a decent free kick. !!

Notwithstanding that Bath are an ageing side-frankly looked unfit-even fat-in a few places;you were top dollar.

Martins first goal was a typical martin goal-he sniffs around the edge of the box and picks up those chances.

A better goalie probably would have made better efforts at at least two of the goals, but again, you were superior in every department from the first minute

i was very impressed by Sinclair and Andrews in your defence.

Again,as i said on the  Dover match thread-i remain unconvinced by McEntaggart-lost a bit of weight since i last saw him and is more vocal-but think he needs to improve his own game before bawling at others.
Thought healey was marginally more impressive than Sheringham but all in all-it was a top notch performance from you guys throughout .

Great result for us - well done the boys.
Fordy and Dacks appear to have got things going in the right direction.
Congrats to all and thanks to the Bath supporters that have taken the time to post on here, even though you were beaten - good luck for the season.
As for the ' No one rates us and no one likes us ' - good.   Be afraid other teams.  After seeing todays other results, then you SHOULD be afraid.

Come on you Wings!!!!!

Loved this from bath hcity dot com...

There was no sign of the problems to come in the opening exchanges, Scott Rogers shooting inches wide in the open minute, but with their first attack the visitors went ahead through Martin's 14th minute shot. City continued to dominate .....

so what was your view of the early part of the game? in my opinion city were the better side in the first half hour and unlucky to be behind - as for the rest of the game cry

Yuffie, with all due respect, City might have been the 'better' side in the first half hour, but history and records will show that you were stuffed 4 - 0.
Scott Rogers can shoot inches wide as many times as he likes, but, to win a game, you have to put the ball in the back of the net.  Something that City didn't achieve.
Good luck to you and City for the rest of the season.
