Blue Square have us down at 400/1 to win it.

An each way bet can't be bad to see us in the final (I take it an each way bet on this would be just runners up? rather than 1-2-3-4 i.e. semi finalists)

its a good price but it jus isnt goin 2 happen weve made a fantastic start 2 the season ad well done ford and dacky for that but wen u fink weve plad teams that r all in the bottom half, we looked kid of poo against basingstoke and then to think that there are teams in the league above us involved, we might have a good run and make the quarters.

400/1 is a mad price. Winners tend to win and in a comp where many will also not be flat out 400s well worth a few quid of anyones money.

i was only looking at correct score odds for the Hayes match and saw 400s.

We're 25-1 to win 3-0 tomorrow. I know Hayes have improved but that's still pretty good considering our goals scored.

Can I ask what dutched means.  I am supposing that you are having all three of those scores and if one comes in you get a third of the odds.

How would you write that out on a normal betting slip in say billhills?  Also would they take a bet like that?

Cheers in advance

At 400's, I think I'll invest a small portion of my income.

It's a competition where the bench warmers normally get a game, and this year our bench warmers are all good players.

£2.50 gets you a grand so it's well worth it.

I just had a look at Blue Square and they've got Havant Gotaclueville at 50/1, Bromley at 100/1, Fisher at 125/1, Bath City at 200/1 and Stale Buns at 250/1.

Just shows they don't always know what they're doing.

Sidney Dutching is betting on more than one outcome to win a set profit LEVEL whatever the winner (if you had selected it amongst the dutched bets)

Its not something i do all the time but on certain events if i fancy a few big prices i will dutch them

if 4 out comes were

33/1 4-0
25/1 3-0
25/1 3-1
12/1 2-1

i could lay out say £100 like this

33/1 £16.05 to win
25/1 £20.99 to win
25/1 £20.99 to win
12/1 £41.98 to win

I would pick up £545 if one of those should win just under 9/2 combined when dutched like this .

To the un-trained eye your reasoning is quite sound, however, in my humble opinion I can't see us getting beat by anyone this season.
We will obviously finish as champions and I would suggest that you get yourself down to the local betting establishment and have a punt.

The team which wins the League are likely to lose around 7 games based on previous seasons (though Grays only lost 4 in 2004/5) and the telling feature will be the number of draws added to that.

The last playoff place is likely to go to a team which loses around 11 games and again the telling feature will be the number of draws added to that.

Judging by what we have seen so far the playoff place seems to be the safest bet.
