I didn't realise they had so many off the field problems plus only 1 win in 7. We couldn't be playing them at a better time (in terms of their form).

I am afraid this joker is typical of 'ambition' that doesn't work at this level. Pile a load of money in and wait for the community to catch up and when they don't, it is all doom and gloom.

He only has to look seven miles down the A354 for a template of how that works out. You find the correct level in the end.

Much better to have eventually done what we seem to have finally and try and grow things organically from within the existing base. It may be slower but is more sustainable and does not rely on one person with deep pockets.

And before there are any jibes about me shooting from afar, I hope to be fit to travel to Eastleigh.

Their crowds aren't the worst in the league by any means. It would be such a shame for the club to go under. Lovely ground in lovely part of the country. Dorchester isn't the bigest town in the world so he probably needs to get real about what he can expect. Stafford is right - if they can't afford the players on their budget they need to grow their own - may mean dropping down a league or two but crowds could be better with a side having success rather than one struggling at the bottom year after year.
