It is Non-league and people can stand wherever they like, BUT standing smack bang behind the goal is always going to mean youre in amongst a big group of usually the most vocal supporters. Theres nothing stopping you do it but why would you actually want to stand there as an away supporter?
When your team has just conceded the last thing you want is somebody rubbing your nose in it intentionally or not.
There are always away fans at PVR at the road end - yet they usually stand over to the side. Like at the AFC game I was stood off to the side where there were a good few AFC fans at the road end - no one cared as they stood slightly out of the way.
exactly - and i usually stand a bit off to the side of the goal as means i have a bit of space to stand and at road end there can be a few opposition fans around but they dont cause a problem(dont often even notice them to be honest)
I'm very surprised by the insularity of some Welling Fans.
Peter, why are you posting anonymously??!!
I didn't mean to. I'm not used to using messageboards which default to "anonymous" in the absence of a specific user name....bugger - I've done it again....

And, of course, being well versed in the ways of non-league football you expected nobody to stand there come the start of the second half. Did that never happen in the Romford days?
Anonymous wrote: I am surprised, actually. I often watch the second half of games from "the other end" as it were and have never experienced anything like this before....
Would probably tend to suggest you've never been to Merthyr then....

Could you enlighten us as to the stolen ground as far as I am aware Welling are the main lease holders from the London Borough of Bexley who own the ground and have been the leaseholders since the late 1970s. Or could the point of the post be all property is theft? If so commrade I will see you at the barricade
Dear oh dear. There has been outright warfare on and off since the Conference board came on line in 1999 and before. This is a minor scuffle down the back of the bike sheds. Don't make it so obvious you're only just coming in from sticks!
I don't quite see why you'd take so much pleasure in pointing out you are 36 places BELOW us but now you point it out..... (and before someone mentions it that'll be a whole 43 places BELOW Chelmsford).
PS. I checked our assessment of Totton with a mate who'd lived in Redbridge for 43 years. He didn't find a lot to disagree with (and what he did wasn't in your favour!)
Yes and what a team that was in the 80s. Robbins really could do the business and before him Dave Smith on the wing .. better than agana and banged my aunt up the mooey several times.... Beaky.. well Abbo needs no Introduction, Paul Sawyer aka Dozey not my cup of tea.. "SIT DOWN SAWYER YOU AINT COMING ON!" , Derek Richardson or the big "Dee" unless you wanted to be shot and of course Micky Cotter who shoul have graced the champions league and ended up in the nuclear electric league.

not pointing out we are 36 places below you dumbass, but the fact we were promoted into the bgb south and west league this year and already top looking at 2 in a row,
and after playing at the new wembley just after it opened even if it was the Vase still a cup at wembley (to secs while i look through your history at games played at new and old wembley)
your argument about places is so without point its like comparing you against chelsea , lol not even an argument.
But what people do see is that a lot of other teams see your fans as trouble makers and a bunch of c un.ts and like Totton hopefully will also inform your chairmen and your league of your conduct lol.
Your an insperation to mouthy ****s all over the world good job.

Never heard of the unintended consequences of actions then. You may not have intended to point out you are 36 places below but that is what the table shows and you decided to bring it into the equation.

I believe we have played at Wembley (London senior cup way back). And pray would you have been bringing this up had you have made the Vase final and it had been played elsewhere when Wembley was shut? As you mention it you LOST and have therefore won the Vase\Trophy as many times as us. NIL. Would you like me to list the number of League grounds we've lost at. Equally fatuous!

Refer earlier paragraph. You raised it

And you Sir are so obviously a man\woman of moderation who would never seek to offend or rise to the bait (or understand the concept of hypocrisy I'd guess!). Once you make it out of your rural backwater you may find the world is not the idyll you paint it. I shall find it interesting what you'd make of the occupational hazard that is Jon The County and his ilk.
If their dodgy keeper hadn't fumbled Sheringham's shot into his own net and then feigned injury when missing a flap which should have resulted in a penalty to Welling, none of this ill feeling would ever have come about.
I hope they enjoy standing at the wrong end at some of the places they visit if they go up. They will find that we are angelic in comparison!
