WSU have issued the following statement regarding the replacement of the TV and projector in the Clubhouse.
'As many of you might be aware the projector and television in the clubhouse have seen better days, in fact the projector has ceased working altogether. Replacements became a priority but having committed all of our fundraising efforts to bolstering the playing budget we on the W.S.U. were struggling for a solution.
The answer? A telephone call out of the blue from Terry Grant offering to convene a meeting of The Welling United Independent Supporters Association to propose a donation towards the cost of £1010 for a new plasma television screen and complete new projector. The result of the meeting was a pledge to fund the ENTIRE cost of the purchase. This pledge hassince been carried out and the result is the plasma screen installed in the clubhouse and projector soon to follow when the technical support can install.
All of us who attend W.S.U. meetings would like to acknowledge and applaud this generous and timely offer of equipment that will benefit Wings supporters for years to come.
Behind the scenes work is going on at the club with assistance from W.S.U. to negotiate a sensible commercial monthly subscription to Sky/Setanta to bring back big screen matchday Premiership football to the PVR clubhouse. Thanks to W.U.I.S.A. the first step has been completed.'

Crap! If its a toss up I normally watch Welling but that doesn't mean I don't care about England rugby matches etc (taking away the fact they aren't a great watch at the moment)
I can think of at least 2 of our hardcore who shinned off at Telford at half time to watched the Grand National that never was and missed our goal if I remember correctly, so other sports do impinge.

No problem lads we just use one screen for Soccer Saturday and the other for Rugby/Horse Race/Snooker/Coronation Street?
