Is there a Welling Legend that you would particularly like to see at the Legends evening to be hosted by Copes on 20 February? If there is just post their name in this thread by 20th January and WSU will invite the most popular to attend.

RE: Which Legend would you like to see on 20th Feb?
PS i used to speak to barras a lot but have lost his mobile lol.. its got all 3s in and 7s lol...
but he said he would do one of the evening with or legends nights if his team were down south... otherwise it would mean plane and hotel etc etc. If things havent changed he would at least be an option and he would be good value.

I think a closed season night is the only time when we might be able to get those still in the game and plying their trade outside of a 20 mile radius to come along unless as you say JgFc they happen to be in the area for a fixture.

Ok, a recent legend i know but one who would give a good insight into Ade and Phil's tenure and will appeal (more bums on seats) to recent(ish)ly recruited Welling fans.
There was no clear Legend suggested and WSU had made enquiries re Ruthers and Lew Watts. However following this thread contact was made with Wayne Brown who is attending plus one other from whom final confirmation of his availability is awaited and whose name will be revealed as soon as this is received.
Contact was also made with Nicky Brigden but regretably he is unable to make it. Great shout from Stafford and from a personal perspective a great pity as I'm sure he would have been given a great welcome and would have had more than a few tales to tell.
