And assuming he doesn't change clubs, the way your shabby lot are playing with a bit of luck he won't have to put up with such tosh for at least another year.
So we played badly ? And still beat you ? Speaks volumes for your team, then. Fact is, we were better than you in the second half.
As A Welling fan I have to admit that I felt we were distinctly second best for most of the game. The goals we conceded were definitely avoidable and we did hit the woodwork twice in the second half, but that doesn't hide the fact that we didn't deserve anything from the game.
Turning point was undoubtedly the equaliser and sending off. Hard to see from a distance but looked like a definite pen although red card might have been harsh. Sinclair is a good player but overplays far too often. He can be a very good defender but he sometimes he seems to think he is the next Rio Ferdinand. We conceded at Bromley because he was too casual and again today and he/we paid the ultimate price today.
The whole team was poor today. Summed up perfectly in injury time when we have two corners to try and salvage a point and Protheroe can't beat the first man with either of them !!
All clubs at our level are going to miss players through suspension so we just have to hope it was a minor blip and, with players back, we can get a win on Tuesday night.
I think there are just one or two people on here that believe (for some unknown reason) that Welling had a god given right to beat us, this is football, some you win, some you lose............ them's the breaks I'm afraid. Yes, now cue the retorts of 'you should know...'. It was a good game, with open attacking football from both teams. If you do succeed in getting promoted, good luck. Just because we follow our team, who at the moment aren't doing as we would like, don't slag our support for being noisy or voicing an opinion, I didn't hear much from your fans.......
That last post is correct, I believe the players and even to some extent the fans thought all we had to do was turn up and we would win. It dont happen like that we need to treat every team as if we are playing Wimbledon or Chelmsford and the support needs to be cranked up it was flat on Sat
If I were there (which I won't be) and we treated Baker (for whom I have no time) the way the Stortford fans treated Faz I would be just as critical J and personally speaking I certainly don't condone any of the 'break his legs' style comments I endured throughout the second half on Saturday.
As far as the airhorns go football grounds ain't Southampton or the M25 and they should be banned and anyone sneaking one in should have it rammed up their jacksie and tooted till the gas runs out.

It was a Polish horn, not an air horn. There are four sides to your ground, if you don't like the noise the away fans are making, don't stand near them. The phrase "sore losers" was invented for some of your fans.
