I noticed on Saturday that the programme was a double with tommorow's game against Team Bath.
This really gripe swith me as to me it smaks of ameataurish. Many sides at are level and below will have a Sat-Tue double header but still produce two programmes, it clearly is a penny pinching method but one that slightly embarreses me and one that im surprised the league lets us get away with.
It's only £2, if it means the club saves money then so be it.
I know it isn't 'right' and all that but we're a non-league club, not a lot of money and I'm sure we have to print a minimum amount of programmes for a certain price. Also, I doubt we'll even get 450+ tomorrow night so there's no need for a massive amount of programmes.
I do understand where you are coming from, someone like myself would buy two just to say I was at both games and to give more money to the club, but for some people, think of it as you're saving £2! That £2 can go towards a dodgy beer from the club
its a bit shi tty but if it saves them a monkey when they do it and that goes somewhere else then whats the problem? Maybe they can do what hornchurch do and thats get a decent printer (DECENT) and print their own programmes must save them money. I am sure if they phone Karl or Jen they will point them in the right direction and there are enough people like scoop, james, russ and others who could probably knock one up in acrobat or in design etc etc. Would probably be more up to date then aswell. No point in lining printers pockets unless they are willing to do you deals.. it is the credit crunch so people should help each other.

Hang on Im not moaning, or looking for a reason to moan, that is just the way I see it. I have not mentioned the programme just because we lost I had the same opinion before the game was started on Saturday.
Mark from a buisness point of view, will the advertisers in the programme be happy with what the club are doing?
all I'd say on the subject is that if you put a one liner in the programme explaining why its away from the norm that should suffice.
I'd liken it to the rent issue where it wasn't what we expected but Barrie has given a swift explanation and we are all back on course, probably more on his side because we think a councillor has been a bit of a pilchard.
I'm not saying the club have to respond to every rumour etc, I'd not expect that, but they are in control of the program and a one liner on why it a double shouldn't be a problem and we'd all get on with it. After all we have all seen the old 'printing deadlines' disclaimer in plenty of double programmes over Christmas periods.
