PLATINI MIGHT BE RIGHT

I know that Michel Platini is not a favourite person for many English football supporters, but i think that in one instance his views might be worth listening to.

Platini has stated that he does not understand why a player should be allowed to play in the same competition for more than one club in a single season.

If we look at the Conference South we can see that certain players play for 3 or 4 clubs in the same division in the same season. If they knew that they could play for only one club it might stop some of the mercenary actions that we are seeing. I am not saying that a player could not move to another club, I am just staing that he couldn't play for another team in the same division. This might stop some of the level transfers that we see. If players knew that their only transfer option was a drop downwards they might think twice about looking.

It also seems strange to me that if a player appears in the FA Cup/FA Trophy they are cup tied but they cna play for more than one team in the league. Baker has had four spells at three clubs this season surely this isnt right and the regulations should be in place to ensure that players aren't able to move at the drop of a hat.
