RE: Paul Booth has left Havant..Would YOU have him back
Thet has just given me the reason I was looking for when I was going to say no.
After all, we do not know the reason he left\was released by Havant. Not a logical release in their position if he was fit, on form and providing value for money.
If he lives near Lewes, as might seem a resonable guess, then the same issue might well apply to any club in London.
All previous arguments say if a player of that quality becomes available you must go for him. I'd rather understand why they have become available because, lets face it, logically he shouldn't, and not get landed with the same issues
It's really a question of do we need him? I think not - at the moment. We have the forward line covered but things may change at the end of the season. Ademola will no doubt return to his club, Charlie could always be open to offers after his great season so we could be short for next season, who knows. I'm happy to wait and trust AF on players. Pretty sure though that there are other clubs who can afford his wages, possibly not us.
He was on the bench when they came to PVR recenlty - I think a regulAr occurance at Havant. I don't think you can just sign a player on reputation alone- its a few years ago now that it was with us - maybe he is past his best or lost form, unfit etc. He was banging in the goals last year so it is hard to see where it has gone wrong. Maybe the size of his wage demands.
Yes,there's more from Charlie in my eyes too. If we're seeing it then i'm sure scouts will be as well. Considering his work rate, goals and off the ball play i still think he's had a great season, especially after his limited previous appearances.
To move to a lower league club when you are aproven striker at this level only shows the same thing that happened when Rivs left to go to Fisher.
To me its quite simply a money issue-how are Tonbridge funding this? Unless there is a few bob knoocking about and assuming that he isnt taking a wage cut what happens when the monies not there to pay the wages.
Risky strategy in the current climate

Good cos he shook adies hand to come back and then went back and said well welling have offered me this so i want that to stay here.
Hes a mercinary, good player and not treated THAT great at welling BUT he has more than erased any sympathy by effing adie about and using us as a bartering tool.
TONBRIDGE PMSL, hes ambitious.
