Obviously people who contribute items such as this are well educated followers of League Clubs! I think not. Kindly use correct punctuation together with the use of upper and lower case letters, and of course keep your stupid remarks to yourself or your own message boards. Where do you normally post Newton and Ridleys pub league division 7?

In my opinion, Non League is proper football. The so called Premier League is full of mercenary, money grabbing overpaid posers.

If you want to pay £50 to watch Chelski or Man U then please do but don't criticise those that prefer a more honest game.

The funny thing is that JGFC doesn't come to ANY of the gams (unless we are playing the top two in the league away from home, ie. Hampton and Wimbledon this season) so doesn't contribute any money to the club or the playing staff.

I wouldn't take any of his criticism on board, as he has no right, because he doesn't see the players play.

and adding to that he is of the typical of this type of "fan" when they think all that matters in football is the top 4 - the prem is boring and predictable

One suspects that this is a Non League player, maybe one with delusions of grandeur that he should be playing League football, venting his frustrations on fans who have been criticising him or his team mates.
However he's let himself down on many fronts, those being:
His Bexleyheath Schoolesque spelling, punctuation and grammar making his diatribe difficult to read and easy to dismiss. (apologies to any Welling fan who went to Bexleyheath School!)

His sweeping description of Non League fans. I've seen many types of people at the games. Yeah I've seen some balding, middle aged men. Wouldn't call them saddos. But there's also people like me who are still relatively young, in fact the same age as a lot of footballers. And i'd like to think my life aint dull. I go to football matches, I go on brilliant holidays with my mates and my bird, and I like to go out and get wasted. Life is great.

Him telling us to go and watch proper football. Myself and many others I'm sure have turned our backs on following teams in the Premier League or Championship. I for one was a regular at a Premier League team's home and away games but became disillusioned when being asked to pay an average of £45 a game, thus racking up something like £3500 in debt on my credit card. At the same time as struggling to pay this off you see pampered Premier League footballers 'earning' eye watering wages like £100,000 A WEEK! These players live in a cocoon of money and celebrity and are so far removed from the people who watch the games that they can't relate to people like myself struggling to pay for going to the games and my own bills. All the money awash at the top of the game has made it predictable (only 4 teams can realistcally win anything) and it seems that only the mega rich or middle class are welcome.

Here's some constuctive criticism for you. I'm sorry if you're frustrated or angry at some criticism you've received lately mate. But MAN UP! I certainly don't turn up ar Park View Road expecting Total Football, but if you've such a disregard for the fans who pay your wages, maybe you should up your game and get a transfer to a team player higher up the football ladder. But I'll think you'll find that the fans there are much less forgiving.

Sound's VERY MUCH like someone who does give a sh*t about being criticised to me.

Either turn up and be mercenary and don't moan about the stick or if you don't want the stick, don't take the money.

And I don't much care if you give a sh*t about me because with an attitude like that I sure as hell wouldn't give a sh*t about you beyond whether you play well or not. If a part time plumber came round my place and did a crap job and didn't look like he was interested, he'd get told as well!

Ha! IF the Anon who started this thread really is a Non-League player then I hope he's better at flipping burgers or whatever it is he does as his proper job, than he is at football. You'll never get a pro contract with that attitude... Muggy C***.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you and all that.

If you break down what he says he probably is as wide of the mark as you think.

Many players don't care about the club or fans of who they play for, and only play for money.

Many non-league fans are sad and boring anoraks; more so than League fans. I

That's not to defend the poster, as I think s/he's a prick also

Premiership football has anoraks too, and do all players at that level care about their club?

A different perspective (and no history revisionists please)

Gary Abbott used to receive dog's abuse sometimes at PVR and I'm not sure how well liked he was by some sections of the crowd (as demonstrated by the 'Abbo, you're still a c**!' cry after he had just scored a crucial equaliser against Wycombe).

However, I don't think you will find many in the WUFC support who don't respect the man for his consistent ability over many seasons and the effort he put in to make sure he could produce it.

And maybe therein lies the difference with our original contributor...

Im curious to know what you are basing this on? and what exactly is an "anorak" and if caring about the club you support makes you an "anorak" then i am one

And when Abbo scored "that goal" against Gateshead to effectively keep us in the Conference I took great delight in telling one of his "detractors" exactly what I thought of him !!

Form is temporary but class is permanent.
