..........first off to Andy, Jimmy and all the staff at Welling.  It's been a hard, sometimes frustrating season, but hey, you guys have performed something of a miracle to turn this club around again.  Unfortunately, we didn't make the playoffs, but we won a cup and that is something to be proud of.

Secondly, the players.   We all have sometimes have had a go at you, some justified, but, on a seasons performance, you have been great.  You have performed above expectations and hopefully, you will be commited to WUFC and prove how good you are to achieve even better results next season.  Under the guidance of AF and JD, you could, if commited to the club, achieve greater things next season. You could and should, be looking beyond the playoffs.  It is your chance to give all and commit to the Conference Premier.  Trust the guys above and you'll be there.

Last, but by no means least, the supporters.   Every one of you deserve all the accolades that anyone can give. From the four that travelled to Newport, to the regular guys behind the goal ( and in my case, in the stands )
To Pat who sells the scratch cards - no, I still haven't won, Sherpa - my number is still 28 and everyone involved in the club - thank you.
Finally, thanks to Sidcup Graham for great company and Internet updates and Mark X for a friendly chat.

Hope that you all have a great Summer and look forward to next season.

Regards

Steve

I agree with most of that but believe you have under estimated the away support.

There must have been over 30 of us at Newport despite travel problems and there was no league game where the support was in single figures.

Cynical, Great post and I agree with your comments.

The only points I would add are that personally I think that:

Barrie and Barry Hobbins (who I assume you included in all the staff at Welling) deserve to be recognised by name as contributors to what has been a season which overall exceeded most if not all of our expectations

and

thanks should got to the WSU and those who have supported the events and activities organised by them for effectively funding a player for the season

The two bazzas have really tried to push on so deserve a lot of credit. Lets hope we get a nice cup run to enable a mid season push. None of us expect them to throw money at the club left right and center but the signs are they there are trying. One thing i will add is i would be a bit effed off if we had a decent fa cup run and like previous years (Huddersfield) no oney was spent on the team if there was a chance to push on.

I think that wont happen as the club seem more positive lately, keep it up and well done.

Totally Agree With You Cynical, Been A great season thrills spills and some wonder goals, Plus The Odd Trophy Thrown in For Good Measure, Being Female Its Always nice To have The Odd bit Of Bling..!!!

Good To See Fordy Thinking Positive By Keeping A Large Crux Of This Seasons Team's Players but may have a problem replacing Blackburn.

Also Thanks For The Personal Mention,  You've now All got till Early July to Save Your Pound coins And support the club by getting your scratch cards From Me,

Come On You Scratchers.!!biggrinbiggrin

yeah i agree with the above and just feel that the only down point was no decent cup run in the fa cup or fa trophy

but always next year and we havent had a decent cup run since hudderfield which was 4 years ago now so i feel we are due one

charlton away in the 1st round and then man u in the 3rd at old trafford would be nice!
