Rumour has it that there is League Club interest in Craig Holloway.
Collin has weighed in with over 20 League and Cup goals for 2 seasons and a substantial amount of assists at Dover and is on their retained list. Hess is apparently taking a strong line with players saying this is whats on the table take it or leave. Doubt we could match what is on the table for him at Dover but if he is looking for a change could be what we are looking for.

Bodkin is they only player mentioned so far that can be deemed realistic. Ademola is feesable and the others like Collin and Holloway are just stupid suggestions.
I don't know how Holloway as a suggestion is stupid! A player at the same level as us, if were not even going to think about these types of player then we might as well give up now. How many thought we had a chance of getting Charlie Sheringham this time last year eh!? Too much negativity!!
Is there any chance we could get Kedwell? Didn't he leave Grays because he couldn't train full-time in the Conference because he was starting a family?
Bruno if you read Dovers forum almost to a man none of them would have kept Bod, thats a league lower than us. No value in taking him IMO. The reports arent good and we owe him nothing. Move on and get a new face who will commit

Keds wouldnt come back i think hes wanting the money. Depends how many of the squad remain and if Keds is available and if the WSU can find another 10 grand.

If you read the AFC Wimbledon programme from our visit, one of the stated aims is NOT to go full time in their first year in the Conference National therefore don't assume Kedwell will necessarily be available.

I agree, my views on Bodkin have been posted before and his history since leaving PVR has done nothing to change my view. A good player who ignored sound advice, insisted on staying non contact to facilitate his chasing the pound note and appears to have paid the price. And before anybody talks about progressing his career if a higher level Club thought he was good enough they would have taken him in the closed season or paid a transfer fee and he would have found himself playing at that level rather than being farmed out to a lower level club in double quick time.
Empty statements like I would have liked to stay at Welling but etc etc are just that empty statements hoping to keep the support of fans should things go tits up.
Fordy's job is hard enough without having players who are not 100% committed to Welling. That is not to say that players should be prevented from progressing to a higher level should the opportunity present itself. Players, however, should recognise that it is a 2 way street and the Club who have shown faith in them and provided the opportunity for them to develop should have their services for the season or be recompensed for its contribution that development which has led to other clubs interest. Old fashioned values? I would unashamedly say YES.

To be fair to Bod he wasn't always in the starting line up at Welling so who can blame him for taking Chairman Mick's money at Grays. I personally wouldn't have him back because I think Ming and Hurrell if they sign are both better than him.
Having said that I will never forget Bod's goal at Dorchester in the Cup. Superb
That goal at Dorchester was magical one of the best I have seen in my 10 or so years following the Wings!
As for having him back I'd agree that his time has passed. He was a good player who gave his all for us but as said above things havent gone well since he left and I would like to think we as a club with Fordy and Dack in charge could attract better players

Its pretty much common knowledge within non league circles that Holloway will sign for a league club (or at least a full time club) this summer, I believe he nearly signed for Barnet this season. So on paper going for a player in the same division seems realistic but in reality signing Craig is VERY unlikey .
tyrone sterling at cray. he plays lef mid/left back and only 20, i saw cray play about 10 times this year and tyrones performances were excellent. looks like a very good play not only for this but also the future.
If Charlie Mitten stays after the performances he put in I wouldn't think we need another frontline keeper. I don't think a club like Welling can have 2. We need a willing youngster on the bench.
I would still have Bods back. He still has the pace on the flanks and can deliver crosses to our forwards. It would be great to see him supply the crosses to Keds again - dream on I guess
