In protest of the "away" friendly at Erith & Belvedere I think we should BOYCOTT the game and NOT give money to Erith & Belvedere.
These CRETINS didn't pay ANY money towards the floodlights, play RENT free and INJURED several of our players the last time we played them in a pre-season game. They are just general PARASITES.
It will be about £7 to get in. i think we should AVOID going and give the money we would have spent to a better CAUSE.
I see where you are coming from, and its a bit of a kick in the nuts, but cant it just be a "neutral" game, rather than a home or away for either club ?? With all proceeds then shared.
Totally daft to be playing a meaningless game at our home ground yet it be an away friendly ... from a Welling fans viewpoint though, it'll be cheaper to get in if an Erith home game !!
I actually half agree with the origanal poster and its probably some venomous rant i would have posted 2 or 3 years ago. I cant stand Erith, in my eyes they are parasites and squatters.
I cant believe we have agreed to play them away though. I wouldnt even play them.
However there must be reasons for it. Tell you what if they ever get the begging buckets out i will drill 2 inch holes in them.

What happened to the squillins of pounds they got for selling to B&Q? You'd have thought with the amount of money they had, they'd be at least Conference Premier standard by now.
I very much doubt if I'll attend this one either. As a season ticket holder all home friendlies are included, however seeing as this is classed as an away I would be expected to pay at the gate. Not on in my book.

Erith have ponced their way in. Two bob club. All these millions they had, and the fact that Welling took them in. You would think they would have spent some money on the ground. What is great, is no matter how much they think its half their ground. The ground is normally (and always will be) refered to as Welling United's ground. Its a shame the kent League is so rubbish that they cant get relegated from it and go busto. Will never forgive them for not paying towards the floodlights and us having to cram all the games in at the end of the season. If they EVER need help, i say remember they have done nothing for us in the past and let them go to the wall.

Where Welling funded half of that 600k? And didnt that include their clubhouse and bogs?
By way of supporters donations and a grant given to Welling?
Back to my original point. They paid EFF ALL towards the floodlights. And to my knowledge hvae paid for no ground improvements. Ok so extending the terracing back to the fences wont help them but to my mind they bring nothing that helps us.

I think that you'll find that JGFC might be outlining the fact to a certain section of the newly promoted team down on the coast, full of illegals and bucket holders, that, if and when required, he can post on their forum without trouble.
I am not sure that all this Erith bashing is fair. As someone has already stated we have them to thank for the new stand. I am sure that if they hadn't groundshared with us we wouldn't have it. As for the floodlights I am not convinced that the full facts are known.
I'm not so sure about the stand. I remember us putting up half and the rest being covered by a grant that WE applied for. They have got a good deal out of it, a nice clubhouse, changing rooms, food outlet, toilet block etc and don't seem to have much input into the ground.
Didn't the WPC or whatever they were called then repaint all the crush barriers and spruce up the ground a few years back. They benefit from these things but don't offer any help IMO.
I seem to remember that the original price of the stand was £650,000 of which 90% was put up by the Football Trust. Welling had to find the other 10% and E&B helped out with that.
I don't know how much E&B put in but they certainly got a fantastic deal. New club house, new changing rooms and half the seats painted in their colours.
Thing is I dont know how much they put in for ongoing stuff. The WSU make ground improvements which they benefit from and your right they certainly get a good deal.
As for the game if it is deemed an "away match" I wont be there. Why dont they split the gate?
Whilst I can see the sentiment and passion of supporters who have been going to PVR a lot longer than me I for one will be going. I do not see it as giving money to Erith and Belvedere but I see it as going along to support OUR team, to cheer them on and give them encouragement.
I realise the last time we played them "away" at PVR they were hackers and one of our players got a very nasty break (was it Statham?). If I am right were not some of those playing for E&B players who had been ousted from Welling?
Money will be going to them, When they didnt pay towards the lights. When they got a great deal with the stand, When they dont do anything to upkeep the ground.
Why put money in a teams pocket that hasnt helped us and who now share OUR ground.
Be funny if there was a boycott and the crowd was their usuall 37 Then all the home fans go to the next Away Friendly.
GIVE Erith & B & Q NOTHING imo, just like they give us.

Alan What you need to remember is... That grant ... Was given TO WELLING not to Erith and Welling had to find money aswell. LOL I really have a big problem that Erith sold their derelict dump and banked cash and have to my mind spent NOTHING on the ground they claim to share. I cannot forgive them for not helping with the lights when we were in with a massive chance of going up and then had to squeeze all the games in at the end. let be fair they had FOUR people turn up to a supporters meeting so you cant expect the supporters to raise money for ground improvements.
But i wouldnt give erith the steam of my .... They bring nothing to our table and baring in mind the grant and the cash Welling put towards this ERITH stand.... What exactly have Erith done for PVR? How is the fact they they share our ground and had the money to buy their own one helping us out?

blah blah blah with all the E&B slating, I dont like them but the issues involved wont go away ...
simple maths though ...
lets say 400 people turn up to this friendly, where Im sure the gate will be split 50/50
Welling prob have 200 season ticket holders, therefore only 200 would be paying to get in, therefore 200x£10 equals £2000, split half each.
Alternatively, make it a E&B "home" game, perhaps only 20-30 season ticket holders, and therefore 380 people paying £7 each, therefore £2560 taken over the gate ... and with it being an E&B "home" game their bar will be open so probably more money taken over that too ...
