just been on conference south guide and seen that sonny has signed for sutton united. i checked their website which confirmed this. at this rate, are the players either wanting more money or just disgruntled with our club.  it seems we are going to have to start all over again building a decient team to compete at the top.

I don't think Cobbs was offered a contract and only invited back to pre-season.

Player like him probably wants a firm deal?

Not sure the situation is as gloomy as you suggest Patsy. 7 (possibly 8) of the 10 on the retained list have agreed terms/signed which I think you will find is pretty much what Fordy expected.

Indeed and hes already added Lee Clarke a proven scorer (albeit getting over some surgery) and Spencer Knight.

More to come too.

I would love fordy to sign a real hard bastard in midfield.

Keeping 7/8 of your squad is pretty good going for Non-League. Bare in mind players rarely sign contracts for longer than a year and move frequently for various reasons, money, travelling, mates at other clubs etc. Compare it to last year and the debacle under Smith and things aren't looking too bad.

On the original note, I'm dissapointed to see Sonny go, would have liked to have seen him come back for pre-season and prove Fordy wrong and force him to sign him up and admit he was wrong. But no one in their right mind would turn down the security Sutton offered him.
