Doubt we get anywhere near that. I reckon closer to 12-13k with a nice sell on fee - 15% would be a reasonable amount. The only advantage we got is that Charlies young so this could increase the fee i suppose. Braham-Barrett went to peterborough for 10k and was of similar age i think and IMO a better player in his respective position.
same as we got for Ked's I expect, seeing as similar age, same position and similar goals record at this level ... only downer is moving sideways and not up a level like Keds was at the time.
Mind you, is a sell-on worth anything at this level ... I cant see Sheringham being snapped up for big bucks no matter what he does next year at B Stort.
In determining the compensation payable, the Regulations lay down the costs and criteria that the Appeals Committee shall take into account. These include the costs incurred by the transferring club in developing the player through its FootballAcademy or Centre of Excellence and any other costs incurred directly attributable to training and development of players. The criteria also include the status of the 2 clubs, age of the player, length of time with the transferring club, player's playing record, terms of contract offered to the player and the extent of definite and substantiated interest shown in the player by other clubs.
Reckon you should thank Dover for going public on their interest in Charlie as that strengthens your case. Suspect a lot will depend on the contracts amounts you offered and what Stortford are paying. If they are substantial different the you will get more compensation. If they are similar I reckon they will play the "I need to be closer to home card" and you won't get much up front although you may then get a larger sell on figure.
i am sure Welling will point out that Poundnote had other clubs express a public interest in him.
Personally feel he should go for the same or 10% more than keds . Whatever we get is a bonus, and perhaps Andy is holding fire to see if he can get another player out of it or sign the player he wants who will cost a bit more.

Stortford want to settle the deal outside of court, but welling want around 3x what B stortford are offering(a 4 figure deal), and apperently if another club come up with the moey that welling want then charlie goes to them
ps. he scored 5 goals in B Stortfords 6 - 2 win a weymouth
5 goals yes, but it was Weymouth, has:nt played a full game besides that one, and not scored in any of the other 5 !.....not setting the BSSC on fire .......
How many others this season have scored 5 or maybe 4? who scored 20 last season and are young?
I would love it if the tribunal stuffed stortford. They could pay even more than Welling want if it goes to tribunal. Wel done to welling for not letting Stortford get him for silly money.

Has anyone read the back of this weeks N.L.P, ?. reading between the lines, & me being me.......Are Bishop Stortford pulling champage charlie off each game, to try & keep the fee down, ??????????...............

no wonder he hasnt scored in the last few games if they are too busy pulling him off
personally, it'd have to be a mighty fine performance to get pulled off before the end !!
My understanding is that the FA like the clubs to sort out the amount themselves. However in this case the clubs asking prices are very wide apart. The initial tribunal date has passed which is not helping us financially. The goals scored in this season by Charlie do not have any effect on the tribunal's outcome.
