Hmmm. how about getting 25 or more people in a punters club putting in £5/10 a week and then betting on Welling to win games? With the profit going to the budget and the stake kept back for the next bet? You could even get companys involved and gove them a page in the programme with a small logo and contact number. They could pay more in weekly for a bigger advert.
If they lose or draw then you reload and go again. The players might pull an extra couple of % of effort out when they realise it could be going on some of their wages. While it will be a gradually increasing pot of money there could be a few grand in there after xmas.
Perhaps James or Barry could oversee it?
What would the members get out of it? Perhaps the club could hold a thank you evening at the end of the season in the bar restricted to the staff and those that joined the punters club?
Anyone else up for this? Just trying to think outside the box. Andy has expressed a wish to have some kind of extra money coming in to help him.

Perhaps Coomes will lay the best prices available on Welling? they will get a bit more advertising that way too. And bookies love a bit of a bonus offer and publicity.

Would be good if one of those close to the club oversaw it but if enough are interested i would put some ideas of how people pay .
If it gets off the ground i would phone up coomes and see if they will match the best price in the village on Welling Odds. I am pretty sure they would just for the punting club when they hear all money will go to Andy and the budget.

At times you do come out with some outspoken and strange things, but as a betting man I actually think this is a great idea, and would be willing to chip in. I really cant see the club going for it though!
Andy seems to be saying that a supporter based budget contribution isn't available for next season. I think this is a great shame as I was more than happy that my Sponsor a Goal money went on this. That would always be my preference most of the time.
