I can't wait either. The only football i've had to watch since the season ended was the confederations cup and I couldn't enjoy that because of all those pesky bloody horn the fans kept blowing during the whole game!

Welling 3 - 3 Charlton my prediction.

Sadly, that brolly lost it's battle for life a while back...

Luckily, I have bought a new one, with Dunlop emblazened on it!

Chalrton are swapping the whole team at half time for the younger players in the squad so as long as we don't get a spanking 1st half then hopefully it wont be too embarrassing.

Will be giving the game tonight a miss, due to something else coming up. Anyway, now that I'm not going, Welling will probably end up winning 6 - 0 or something like that :D Hope everyone that goes enjoys themselves tonight!

Actually I thought we looked quite good. Defended a bit desperately at times but overall I was satisfied.

It was Hurrell with the equaliser. Wings MOTM For me was Sanchez, he was excellent, I hope he goes on to to prove a few people wrong. Also Parkinson is quality he to me has the potential to be a real star and can go along way. Crowd look bigger than the 2,200 read out I liked are trialsit Jason Mason he looked just the sort of player we need.

Also one other thing I think we need one more out and out striker as both Finn and Loui looked like they could do a job there but would be more potent out on the wing.

Defo Hurrell with the goal for us and he is one quality player.  Sanchez was good, not sure about the right back position for him though, better in attacking midfield. Parkinson is a really good player, Finn is quality and the number 6 ( sorry fella, forgot your name ) played his socks off.  Everyone played tops, but my man of the match has to be Faz. Wanted, needed the ball all of the time and ran all over the pitch.
Great result for us seeing as Charlton put out two teams and great to see so many of their supporters there tonight.  As for 2200, it certainly appeared more than that to me.  Well done all  smile

No. 6 in 1st half was Parkinson (but I don't think you are refering to him, if you are referring to the black player who played as center half I think his first name is Justin), I think without Sinclair that Mr Andrews will come through and become a quality player along with Jack. For me MOTM was Sanchez, did not stop. Also Fan of the match was obviously myself.

Hurrell had a blinder I thought, Ming seems to have lost his attitude problem, can only think that people that have moved on may have influenced his moans and groans last season. We have one quality keeper in Mitten though (assuming it was him for the majority of the game, missed KO), he kept us in the game a few times. Faz played well, and the number 10 looked quite useful too.

All in all, great first performance.

Oh, and Trigger, me and ben281032 were going to start a chant of "Trigger, give us a wave", but obviously we didn't!

What a lovely thought, however on current advice by my security team and mental health nurse I would not be able to respond. I'll just carry on watching the match from my special place in the ground, wherever that may be. I'm behind you.

HI Guys, yep Jack Parkinson was 6 for 1st half,  but in the 2nd half think it was justin ferrera.  cant find anything about him but looked a solid centre back,  someone that i feel could bolster the defence, if he could play centre mid would be handy with his size would be a good physical presence.  worth another run out again.

My thoughts exactly young lady, with Jack & Graham as center halfs Justin could be useful in front of them as a stopper which may allow Jason Mason to assist with the attack. This is assuming they join the mighty Wings. But hey, what do I know?

It's a courtesy extended to the bigger club.

If that's Charlton's new kit, I didn't think much of it.

So that means in about 3 seasons time we will be the away team at the Valley and wear our new kit when playing Charlton?

If they get much lower, they'll fall off the coupon.
They'll be in Europe next year, if there's a war.  wink

I think the problem is that there are not enough red shirts for if we want to use 18 players or more so it is easier to have two different kits, one for each half.

I think the reason was that it was Charltons first pre-season game and therefore they wanted to unveil their new kit. At the end of the day it may have added a few more to the gate with those anorachs who wanted to catch an early glimpse of the kit attending which benefits us. Plus as pointed out it is courtesy to the higher placed team, doing us a favour.

On a side note, when will we get to see our new kit? I have heard its by Vandanel and generally they produce nice kits so might dip into the over draft and purchase one!

Well I am havig a complete guess but there are two issues here

Number 1 is that we dont normally use it until the first game

Number 2 is that we will be frantically trying to tie up the sponsor and therefore get the name on the shirt

Ahh yeah forgot about the sponsor issue. Hopefully it will get sorted soon. Did it not say in the Charlton programme that they were in talks with 3 companies, so we should be fine for the start of the new season...hopefully!
