NO NO NO

Before they signed Leberl and before they signed Davis they said they had used their budget and learned from the past and no more over spending, so i refuse to believe they have brought in another couple of players.

Surely they cant be THAT stupid are they going for a record?

I think Jim Parmenter, the Dover chairman, is quite a wealthy man in his own right.  But he is also a businessman, and quite a successful one. So, despite his ambitions for the club,  I don't think for one minute that he will let Dover spend beyond its means - and don't forget that,  with no league club within the immediate vicinity, they do attract five figure crowds.  I have met Jim a few times at a pub/restaurant in St Margaret's Bay and, yes, he wants the best for Dover but I found him quite frank when talking about football and not without a degree of charm.

That said, I want to have a couple of bragging rights this season if I see him in St Margaret's again - even if Dover do go up!biggrin

Next time you see him, ask him what he thinks of the fabulous new stadium he built Margate.

29 November 2003 I believe (Not sure about KSC games.)

Last time we were in the same League was 2003/4 season in the Southern Premier and this was the season we last drew them in a Cup/Trophy game.. They got the better of us twice

9 September 2003 in the League Dover win 3-1 at the Crabble
29 November 2003 in the FAT 2nd Round Dover win 1-0 at PVR
3 April 2004 in the League Welling won 2-1 at PVR

Season before was no better
League Home draw 0-0
League Away Dover won 2-1
FA Cup 3Q draw 2-2 at the Crabble
replay Dover won 3-1 at PVR

Bragging rights are confined to the fact that we have maintained our place in a higher League while they have tried to fight their way back up and we haven't had a CVA. Who knows what would have happened had we met them in a Cup game. Slough, Clevedon Town, Wealdstone (twice), Margate, Whyteleafe all lower league sides who have beaten us in the last 5 years.

By four-figure crowds, are we suggesting two couples standing side-by-side at the ground, sharing one scarf?

I hope so, I've had to miss out on games at weekends when I've been working so the commentry was invaluable. I even tuned in when I was in Australia last December!

Sorry lads, nothing that exciting, just a major relocation project at the factory. Busy trimming costs etc to try and survive till things improve, just like everyone else.

Glad to see that Loui signed back on for Welling, but I'm also glad he took some time to review his options first.

Kevin, I really do look forward to Radio Wings. I appreciate the efforts you guys go to to get this news out to us far-flung fans.

The last few games got a bit frustrating getting up at the crack of dawn and not being able to get much feedback - hopefully now that the "non-league" vidiprinter is supposedly back up and running, I should be able to get news.

Looking forward to a new season, new squad and putting a good run for title together.

Maybe Red Bull should be a sponsor " Red Bull gives you Wiiiiiinnnnggs!!!!"
