The guy at centre back in the second half coped well enough
What stads out to me is that Andy even seems to bring in decent triallists
Roll on Woking
PS...I think we enjoy watching this team again this year with some lovely football...whether we will be able to mix it with the Hamptons of this world we will find out
It is obvious teams will look at Parkinson this season. The best thing for Jack is to have a good solid season with us and see where he is this time next year. No one would be grudge him a move to the Gills especillay if he continues to knuckle down with us this season.
I thought that the Centre Back who came on at half time (I think it was Cedric Abraham based on some other threads) was excellent. Am i right in thinking he also played against Cahrlton in the second half, because he looked pretty good there too. Very unsure on Jason Mason, poor first touch on too many occasions. thought Lawson showed promise, but clearly conserved energy at times as not fully fit. I thought Sambrook at Right Back was a diasster and feel that Knight is weaker than Cobbs. Concerns from what I have seen are our two ful back postions (though less concerned if Protheroe starts) Think Tony Finn is making a very good impression with excellent footwork and possibly if Lawson and Clarke develop more enrgy and speed then up front could be useful. Conclusion, I reckon we will need to change our full backs during the season and one of our forwards might not cut the mustard. Despite that though would have to say we look very well organised and playing well together as a unit.
Couldn't make the game but sounds like things are still lookign on track, but from what I saw of Knight in the Charlton game he did look a bit slow but does have experience which must count for something, my minds still to be made up!
CBATTOASO, the centre back who played the second half vs Charlton was Justin Ferrera i think.
I agree that Jason Mason didnt have the best of games but agains Charlton and VCD he was class. He holds the ball well and slows the game down. Also impressed with Michael Dean. The team is really starting to take shape!
