Lost 3-2 to a very physical Dartford side. But to make things worse Lawson got carried off after 10 mins with a nasty knee injury. Not a great performance but I believe this result may do more harm than good. Cross fingers that Laws isn't to bad.

Thought we were poor tonight, and deserved nothing and got nothing.

Does anyone know if Jamie Day is still at Dartford or is he injured

Hope your player who was carried off last night is OK. It happened right in front of where i was sitting and it wasn't nice.As he twisted the knee gave an audible pop and he was in agony.Anyway good luck to him and Welling for the rest of the season and hopefully we can be playing in the same division as you next season.

I saw James Lawson after the game and he was walking, knee bandaged, without the help of crutches.  He was still in pain but did not believe the injury was as bad as first feared.  When I said he may be out for at least a couple of weeks, he seemed aghast and thought it would be less than that.  But things change, knees are dodgy, and I would not be surprised if he had to go for a scan.  By the way, he is a smashing chap.

Physical Dartford !!!! You have seemed to have overlooked the fact that Welling's number 6 assaulted one of the Dartford players with a blatant elbow to the face. This resulted in him having 6 STICHES TO THE SIDE OF HIS FACE.

Yeah exactly we just proved we could give it back as well as take it. Dartford have always been a physical side and that was no different last night. Dont get me wrong you deserved the win and it was a tough (in every sense of the word) friendly for us last night but one I think we will have learnt alot from.

Was made to look silly, especially in the 2nd half by the Dartford left sided midfielder, who by trade is a full back! PONY! Is anyone going to enlighten as to who he was?

Why? Does it matter? You are entitled to your opinion of course ... but you won't be picking Welling's team, anyway.

Just interested.

Welling looked suspect at the back all night with number 6 the prime suspect. He deliberately cuffed the young Dartford lad as retribution for a small kerfuffle earlier on and it seemed to affect him for the rest of the game, In fairness to Welling, they did play some nice football in midfield but found it hard to break through.

Dartford looked quicker and stronger and had the best player on the pitch in their number 7.

Burgess should have been sent off in the first half for his assault on Finn and Burchall should have been carded for his continued attack on Charlie Mitten.
Lower league thugs and that's where you will stay.

Dartford were not particularly dirty - just big and strong like every Dartford side I have seen.  I think we just need a bit of extra bite in midfield and at the back.  I notice that Fordy was after two players that Dartford have signed recently.  Oh for a bit of municipal investment in occupied Kent (that's London Borough of Bexley if you are a collaborator!)

YOU WONT HAVE A CHANCE OF PLAYING OUR TEENAGER No6, NEXT SEASON IN THE LEAGUE, IF YOU GET PROMOTED. AFTER WATCHING THE CHARLTON, VCD, AND GILLINGHAM GAMES, HE WILL BE FURTHER UP THE PYRAMID IN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE
