I prefer him to be blunt, allows me to be blunt in return! A view it would seem many others have on here either by intent or implication.
I am sure if it was Brian Clough he'd say you were entitled to have your say but when it came to matters football he was right, period (and paid to be so). Can't see the logic is any different here as he knows he'll get a lot more stick if he's not right in the end.

A considered response as usual. I particularly like the bit about his style allowing us to be blunt in return! That said a good manager even if I don't always agree with him.
