So if before we were £500-£700 lighter on th budget we're not about £1K lighter. About 25%.

It has been an awful pre-season.

We now need a nw striker which is why Ming has been released to free up some of the budget in an area we are pretty well covered. With Protheroe, Johnson, Knight, Dean, Sambrook, Fazza, Hurrell, Finn all about to cover the 4 wide postitions.

I would not say it has been an awful pre season. It has not been the best but people have short memories. We had an awful pre season two years ago!

Was speculating last night that AF might think about getting Moses back on loan from Brentford. Then I read on the Connie South board that he has signed a six month loan deal elsewhere.

I am sure we can all guess where "elsewhere" is..........

i dont think it's anything to do with dacks contacts as as soon as people came to Welling under him and Ford he would have their details anyway whether him or Ford brought them in

and the problem is we just cant compete with the likes of Woking - from a players point of view you can go to a small part-time club that are hoping for the playoffs

or you can go to a full time club that are hoping for automatic promotion for more money - and if you are a loanee you have more chance of being picked up by a league club if you are at a successful non-league club

i REALLY hope we beat dack and co in a weeks time - and push on during the campaign if we(touch wood) stay mostly free from injuries

and im looking forward to a trip to stamford bridge or anfield in the 3rd round of the cup lol

Fordy asn't got that many contacts it was dacks and the 1 with the contacts now is Protheroe.If fordy was on is own would struggle.
After watching fordy from the stands yesterday he was too busy arguing with 1 of eriths coaches calling them thugs when it was us that were kicking them in the first half.
He may be a good coach but hes a bad manager

Well, i was sitting right behind the Deres dugout and i could hear pretty much every word Andy Ford came out with, especially when he had a right go at one of there players, oh and the aforementioned row with the Erith coach. Learned some new insults last night :)

 

he has a point though Erith have always been dirty. Not sure why we played them. The Welling fans clearly dont like them, look how many stayed away.

You may well find that like myself, many failed to attend last night due to season ticket holders having to pay admission.
I personally wouldn't give the parasites 7 pence let alone £7.00

So with James out I was thinking about prehaps getting Moses on loan for the season or at least 3 months again but he has gone to Woking. How many more of our old or loan players is Dack going to nick or was it him who sorted out our loans last season rather than it being done by Fordy?
