How about converting Jack Parkinson to centre forward?  He'd make a great target man - he's good in the air, holds the ball up well, has a reasonable turn of pace and skill, and he has a good shot.  And he scored a few goals for Margate when he was there on loan.  Worth a try, Andy?

Another square peg in a round hole.

This sounds like a Paul Parker masterstroke.

I'm sure I went to an away match when Charlie Side (striker) and John Budden (defender) were both on the bench. A striker came off and Budden went on, and scored if my memory serves me right.

Side and Budden played up front together at Altrincham. We won 1-0 but neither scored.

Nay, nay and thrice nay. Parky is a centre half or defensive midfielder. Leave him there.

Surely such a move would be robbing Peter to pay Paul and I would venture to suggest of negative value. In my book Jack is a vary good Centre Half and the likely reality is that even if he could make the switch it would take some time to adjust to a new role and in the meantime we would significantly weaken the defence significantly. Even if you don't score goals provided you don't concede you get a point.

If we can't get goals in open play from our forwards/midfield is not the the obvious answer to work on dead ball set pieces using Jack and Grahams abilities. Only a thought but one which I'm sure will not have escaped Fordy.
