Not sure what is goig on with him...I thought he was on Bromleys books...if he isnt then how we can afford him I dont know as we dont have any budget left allegedly....unless last night helps
Just read the link that GaryH had posted earlier re; Rob Hughes. I find myself sitting here just shaking my head. Just awful what happened to him and it's good to see him back on the road to full fitness. It was also nice to read that his club Bromley were proactive in raising money for him. What sort of World do we live in and what is the answer?
Well done, Rob! With that kind of 3D spirit, I'm sure you will soon be inspiring the rest of the team to do better. 3D = Desire, Dedication and Determination - great traits for achievement in any field of endeavour. Hope you go from strength to strength ...
What an appalling yet inspiring story. Rob will get my full support every game and I hope the scum pondlife who attacked him are caught and locked up for life.
Watched the piece on the news and as a parent really felt for Rob's Mother. I know what it's like to nearly losing a child, it's horrifying. Trusting the Doctors and nurses with your son's life (who to be honest are complete strangers at first) and signing the consent form after being given the success/failure rate of it. This poor woman had to sit by the side of her son not knowing if he was going to pull through while in a coma. I can relate to her saying about letting her son play football again and what others may say. We had the same issue, playing any type of contact sport, running, going on the bouncy castle ect. I'm waffling on...sorry. I suppose what I'm trying to say is it's great to see him doing so well and like others have said lets hope for those involved are brought to justice.
