We hold our own and even outplay them for 80 minutes then lose 2-1.
We were virtually down to 10 men in the end with Tony Finn limping. We'd already used 3 subs through injuries.
I was very dissapointed with Woking. I thought they were one of the favorites to win this league. They constantly moaned at the ref who I thought had a good game. Arter was at it all game and eventuually got booked. He was then subbed probably before being sent off. I thought he was a good player last year but can understand why Charlton let him go. Very bad attitude.
The 7 was lucky not to get booked for moaning and swearing at the lino and Jimmy Dack should have been booked for throwing the ball away at a throw in..
Moses was their best player although I think Jack handled him quite well.
Woking must be gloating after pulling this one out of the hat
There seemed to be a few scumbags trying to start trouble at the end too. Not what we want to see in this league.
I thought Woking looked more threatening in their attacks nand their equalizer was inevitable from the amont of corners, free kicks they were getting around the box.
The worst thing is we have no points to show in return for picking up 4 injuries when we have a massivve game in 3 days. Lose Tuesday and things will be looking very bad indeed.
lose tuesday and things will look very bad indeed? are you for real?
Yes we've got a few knocks hopefully most will be fine. But already being all doom an gloom after 2 late goals turned a win against one of the favourittes into a loss is quite frankly utter bollox

lol couldnt have put it better myself - although if we lose on tuesday ill be chanting "Ford out" as our season will obviously be doomed
Welling were tinpot today. They got a lucky penalty, and had one or two chances in the 2nd half. Woking had chance after chance, and got their just rewards. If welling are supposed to be one of the main threats this season, then we will be laughing our way back to the blue square premier! Well be up by boxing day!
Agreed, we could have had it won by half time. I didn't see the penalty but for the ref to say no when he was closer then change hi smind shows you how tinpot he was to!
I was level with the ref and you're right, he shook his head then noticed the lino put his flag across his chest and gave it. Good to see a ref take notice of his lino.
We were beaten fairly and squarely. Defensive line up nicking a goal might have won it but Woking were stronger in the end. They're miles away from some of the good teams I've seen in this league though.
the officials were a disgrace today. There was a fairly blatant penalty in the first half we should have had (a handball), and the lino got an offside so unbelivebaly wrong, it was like watching sunday league. I felt we really should have scored at least another 2 or 3, as we were very wasteful in front of goal today.
we are not on a budget of £8k - that was rumour that has stuck.
we had both first choice centre backs out although sinclair has done well ( sorry)
we have had seasons of demoralisation, we don't expect to win and there are teams with more m oney and momentum. If welling are a top 8 team again then we should be play off candidates - certainly not fafvourites for the promotion spot.
dunno -its a secret but ive heard its way below 8k.
a lot of the players are young and only on a few hundred a week - half the squad have come up from the academy. tom Hutch who was said to be on £1k a week last year is now on £500 and thats being paid for by a consortium of 9 fans
I certainly didn't think we deserved to win today, we had a few chances but I thought Woking were the better team and had the better chances, much as it hurts to say so.

I had the perfect view of the penalty shout in the first half and can confirm there was a definite handball - unfortunately, it was actually a Woking player who handled, so definitely not a penalty.
As others have said, today's officals actually weren't as bad as many others at this level. The gulf in the standard of officiating between Premier and South is massive; we found that out when we got relegated from the Conference and you'll get to see it over the next few games. If you thought Premier refs were bad, wait until you've seen a few months at this level!
There were many dodgy offside decisions for both teams during the match.
You would have to say looking at this that the penalty given to woking was a disgrace. Also Moo is correct the handball they wanted was their own man. And you can see that Finn? was scythed down when we got our penalty.
i hope someone sends the vids to the FA at the way woking just ran off the pitch and thomas not only removed his shirt, but threw it on the pitch and then left the field of play. Very unforate Welling IMHO to lose the center backs and then get a poor decision off the ref.
Guissepe or what ever his name is ,went down easier than my ex mrs. Have a look at this fgs . Cedric has been done up like a kipper by mr Cousteau in the Yellow Shirt.
We were ****, they were ****, in no way diid we dominate.
Where in my post did I use the word "dominate"?
I said we held our own and even out played them. I didn't say "dominate". I thought it was fairly evenly matched, end to end but we had the edge until we started losing players to injury.
