I notice that Steve has been released by Hayes and Yeading, seeing as we need defenders and Steve knows Andy from his Gravesend days wouldn't this be a good signing?

Not really!!!

We have a good full back now signed yesterday with a season long loan for a central defender plus those we have already

I couldn't agree less Mark, he would be a great signing for the club.

He is not only a very good central defender but is also a vey capable mid field player, which is the position he played last season for the promoted Hayes and yeading.

That was my thinking as well Bubbles. Fordy loves a player who can play in more than one position.

Bubbles, I could not agree less.

Do you not remember how many games Steve missed for us through injury.   He is still injury prone and played in only 16 games for Hayes and Yeading last season.   Furthermore, he is getting on and will be 34 years old in November and, as you well know, it takes longer to recover from injuries at that age.

I know that Steve was injury prone - probably cost him the chance to play at a higher level - but I agree that it would be great to have him back. Quality player and a good influence on the team

If that is the case, we might as well consider taking Mooro back then.
Both excellent players, but we need stability in the club.

My dearest lovely Spitey, You know as well as I do that Moor'o' s pace was at times questionable. In the air he would win most balls but he was slowing down.
Bring back Russell Edwards.

Pure lack of respect re Mooro from what I suspect are the younger element (not you Trigger I know how old you are and how crazy!). Anyway Mooro was initially kept on at start of last season so he couldn't have done that badly the year before.

Dont disagree Spitey BUT that is not the way Ford wants to play...whether that is right or wrong he wants fast mobile players

I HAVE moved on Mark honest but always have an eye on past heroes reputations as I'm sure you can remember from the Ruthers days!

Is Perkins the player Ford had been waiting on? Did he bluff it was a loan or something??

By bringing in Mr Perkins, does that mean that someone may have to depart to weigh up the financial outlay?
