I think Dover fans will be a mite surprised that we do not follow the traditional Welling gameplan of hoofball and kick. Crabble is a nice pitch on which the remnants of our injury-hit team, particularly the quick ones, could have a good game if we play it neat on the ground. The only times we troubled Braintree, apart from set pieces and corners, were when we ran at them and kept it on the ground.
Perhaps, though, we should mix it up a bit at Dover and play the long ball over the top every so often. Given Saturday's performance, I will just be pleased if we don't get spanked but, you never know, football is a "funny old game" and nobody expects us to do anything against the Frenchies.
Is it my imagination, but were most of the players in each of the sides we have played thus far six footers? We have a few now, but Braintree seemed to tower over us at times.

You'll certainly find things different against us then. We have one tall lad up front, one at the back and the rest look like they are waiting for Snow White to turn up! Seriously this league does seem to be all about who can have the biggest team. We had Chelmsford all wrapped up last week until they wheeled on their secret weapon (all 6' 7" of him). Here's to a goodopen game tomorrow and of course a Dover win.
