All would have started if fit.
Haswell went off injured.
If we can't get 5 of these fit soon we may find ourelves in a relegation fight. Even when they are fit it's unknown if we will be good enough.
With the injuries we effectivley had a squad today of 15 whose wage budget would have been about £2.5K! Our subs were the youth team keeper, the assistant manager, a 20 year old from Cray Wanderers and Menga!
As for the game Dover cruised to victory and never got out of second gear. We had a couple of chances to make it 2-1, including a top draw save from their keeper Hook, who didn't produce any neck high 2 footed tackles today.
It wasn't good but our season will be defined by how we do againt the likes of Maidenhead & Dorchester. But no picking up many points against the okay tea we're putting a lot of pressure on ourselves for must win games.
Today we witnessed the inevitable result between a club that has the money to spend on a squad of some 22 players and gates to back them up, and a club with no sponsor that has to skimp, play some players carrying knocks, and cope with the most horrrific injury crisis I have ever known at Welling.
Even so, I thought the team played well considering the limitations - and Charlie Mitten deserves a medal for playing the entire game with a groin injury.

I bet Weymouth would like to be in our shoes. Can't remember Mitten being tested too often this afternoon. Did not hear Hughes' name as sub so I assume he has gone. Louis looks like he may be coming back soon, he must have run around the pitch 100 times prior to ko. If it wasn't for the two goals we would have drawn, so all in all not too bad.

I am sure beautiful boy will see this and confirm i told him my bets at lunchtime. A dover fan is highly unlikely to lie is he.
PS my prediction of Dover 4 Welling 0 might be some indication of the bets i had. I also text my betting circle and said Dover were a certainty and highly likely to win comfortably including HT and FT. Why would i tell an anonymous like you what i was betting in advance?
