Ford is also set to let wantaway left-back Micky Haswell leave the Wings after just a handful of appearances.
"Micky wants to go but he is a contracted player," said Ford. "I don't really want players around me who are unhappy but I think he has been tapped up and I know the club.
He was spotted at the Chelmsford v Lewes game on Monday night. Wonder if Chelmsford want him back????
He's been playing like an absolute **** anyway, let him go. Came with a big reputation, hasn't performed and now wants out, good riddance to bad rubbish. Exactly the sort of person you don't want when times get hard - we need fighters not quitters. I'm surprised anyone else wants him based on his displays thus far.
Ship him out, get the money saved and spend it on other areas. For me though, left back is now an issue, Dean is not good enough there, oh for Cobbs ... left back and centre mid have been problems that he could have solved. The only one we miss. Attitude was spot on too.
Haswell out, and any others with the same negative attitude too whilst Ford is at it.
So 'TBLBINLF' wants out....good riddance. As for his character - he's a mate of Jack Tweed...nuff said. However i do think that (potentially) Deane could do a job at left back.
One good thing with players moving on is that it should give Mr Ford a bit of spending money to help address the staffing issues. I wonder what Mr Cobbs is doing now? One thing I would do is to bring in an experienced assistant manager and relieve the pressures from Mr Protheroe.

Sonny Cobbs is at Sutton with Sam Gargan. Oh how we could do with both of them now.
Haswell cannot be blamed for last night's horrific performance. He didn't play!!
We were all told that everything would be fine once our 6'7" centre half signed but to be honest I think he is struggling. He looked shell shocked at times last night.
Haswell didn't play because he has been playing well below par and currently doesn't merit a place. Pretty embarrassing for him really considering he came with a great reputation and currently can't get into a side thats on a losing run.
It is sad that you just dismiss Michael Deane as not good enough for left back position. It must make Michael feel really good to read your comment about him. How about encouraging the lad as I thought he showed promise at left back when we played Woking in the opening game. Try and make some positive comments about the players especially the younger ones as they all need a confidence boost in our present situation.

My dear 'John c', feedback be it either positive or negative given to anyone at most ages can be warrented if backed up constructively. I have read many postings on this forum whereby views of individuals are made seemingly without foundation or justification. But as this fantastic forum is a vehicle for some to express their emotions then that has to be taken into account. You make an excellent point in saying that we should be encouraging, but encouragement can be done in different ways, not always positive. How do you think I feel when people laugh at my posts when a great deal of effort has been made. I too would like encouragement and positive feed back instead of others just mocking my serious postings.
I' ve seen every game so far this season- though will not be going to Dorch. Micheal Deane can do a decent job at left back in my opinion and will improve if left to play there week in, week out. This season he has also played right back, right wing and left wing.
Keep playing him at left back please Fordy. I'd rather have players who are willing to give their best every week than the likes of Mickey Mouse Haswell.

He has been described by Fordy, and indeed Deane himself, in the local press as a left-sided midfielder. I base my comments on that, and the fact that if he were deemed good enough to be a left back at this level then the signing of Haswell would never have come along 3/4 games into the season. Yes I will encourage, yes I am far more positive than negative usually, but I stand by my comment that I do not feel Deane is a good enough permanent left back for the season, we need another in my view.

Why wasn't he on the bench when we are struggling for bodies?

Although "the best left-back in non-league" apaprently, and I use that phrase loosely based on his performances this season, I can definitely rate him more accurately in another equally important catergory in sport ... well done Haswell for being "the worst attitude in Conference South". Stand tall. Stand proud.
If you want to go then go, but tell your new club to pay the fee they should do in order to secure you. You were happy enough to sign the contract and take a stable wage for the season, the club would stand by you if you were injured like Lawson, now you do your side of things. Perform like you can do, or get us a £3k fee and we'll tear the contract up and you can go where you like.

lol no thanks. Jamie chose to stay at dartford. We want players that want to play for us ahead of other clubs. Jamie 30 now and been playing lower league. Once the choose other teams ahead of us i would close the door. Hes a good bloke and did well for us, i wish him success but we have all moved on.
